Default Please help .DDS files?
I am trying to make skins using the Skininator, now my problem is I do not understand what .DDS files are, or how to get them? I have read the tutorial All About Skins.. So if anyone can help ?

dds files are a type of image used by games. you can get plugins for Gimp or Photoshop to make them. if you are making a skin from one that is already for sims 3 like a default, they are the _img files of type 0x00B2D882

If you look in the downloads for Skininator, you'll see four rar archives that contain all the default .dds skin files used by the game.
