Crashing from CAS
I have been trying to make a family for a week now. My game keeps crashing from CAS. I've removed buggy CC and it extended my play time a bit and clearing cashes helps to. But it's still crashing I have Decensor, Story Progression, and Master Controller as my main mods. I also have a few complete world fixes from Ellacharmed and the things that came prepacked in the framework folder. This is annoying. [Build info]

crashing games are annoying - i know.
did you try to run the game without any cc? like with this method? Resetting the game to factory settings without reinstalling does the crashing stop then?
are the mods you use for your patch level?

I've patched and updated the mods. I removed Master Controller and the problem seemed to stop. Now it's not happening as often .

On my old Windows Vista computer, I started getting a lot of crashes at one point, especially in CAS. What fixed it for me was allowing more memory to applications, as described here: http://simswiki.info/wiki.php?title..._Memory_Crashes
Might be worth a shot.

I'm having this same issue myself, and i am using Windows Vista. and i am willing to try this method considering nothing else really worked but i was wondering was their any issues to the computer by doing this? Because I know i'm not computer savy and i'm afraid of something going wrong.

I've been having crashing issues the past few days of playing too and I'm doing a complete reinstall to see if that fixes the problem.

Master Controller won't cause the type of problem you are experiencing. I suggest you install NRaas Error Trap and Overwatch . These mods will clean up your game and generate script errors which can be uploaded over at NRaas for someone to read. Usually those script errors identify the ingame problems and incompatibilities.

I didn't notice any issues or any change in the way my computer was running, no. Only that it stopped my game from crashing. Though there is an instruction on how to cancel the change at the very bottom of the linked page, in case you do get any problems from it.
You could also try downloading the Crash Log Analyzer. This is what led me to that page in the first place. Just download it to your desktop and extract the contents. Now open up your game and wait for it/cause it to crash, then open up the analyzer, and it will tell you the most likely cause for the crash. If it says it was an insuffient memory crash or possibly large address aware, then the fix I posted is your best bet.
