Well I guess I will ask any way, is there a mod that will let the Sims know they are low on gas in their car ? ( like a popup )
I mention this in another forum post by member Rosebine I will never understand why Maxis made a popup for when the Sims fridge is empty.
But never made it so for when Sims car or truck may need gas That feature would have been a nice add on. Do such a mod exist ?

The cars never run out of gas ? Huh ?? We don't even have gas stations lol

It would be a cool addition, though I suppose it would require a gas station, which would also be cool.

With this mod on every car (maxis and custom cars) appear new options in a menu:

- Maintenance…
1. Wash (with cleaning skill level below three sim will bring car to a Car wash (costs §15) else you
may assign this job to a sim and cleaning skill points will be increased). In car menu
this option appears anytime.
2. Repair (with mechanic skill level below five sim will bring car to a repair centre (costs §250) else
you may assign this job to a sim and mechanic skill points will be increased). In car menu
this option appears if you travel by car over 15 times.
3. Gas up (in car menu this option appears if you travel by car over 11 times). It costs §70.

1. Motel (duration is six hours, to drive there you must have at least 200 simoleons, applies

How to use: click on a car and find new options in main car-menu.

From me: Probably it may conflict with InTeen and other global mods that change car menu. But not sure.

@MOOKIEBLAYLOCK Hey there my friend so nice to see you I to have never use that mod on the link you left above. But here is a better mod by jfade without all the add on, I have use it before and it work perfect.

It really does look intriguing, but does repairing the car increase Tinkering enthusiasm? Does visiting the casino increase Gaming?

I tried that car mod that got linked to allowing options. (repair, gas up, wash etc) Nothing. I tried a cc vehicle then a game one. I'll try again tomorrow with it out of the sub folder. Anyone else got it to work?

I've downloaded it-will try it out in Mosquito Creek later today. Everyone has a car there-even when they're on a remote island. Go figure!

Added: I did try it out on the citizens of MC today, and I can report that it works, for at least 4 of the options. I used a custom car, as well.

Washing the car generally takes about an hour, costs a bit; going to the motel can last as long as 6 hours, and the driver comes back totally refreshed in all motives; going to the casino takes about 4 or 5 hours, and the pixel I used came back with $700 of winnings; going to the park is all right, they seem to enjoy the outing.

So it does work. Be forewarned that you must have AL to have it work properly.

I have AL, I have everything. I got not one option on any car. Could be clashing with something I guess. Seems like my cage pet fix isn't working either as a bird dropped dead yesterday.

It worked fine for me too. I'd suspect a clash.

@Just a Cat its clashing with Community Lot Time. I am getting no options at all.

I was exited when reading about that mod. Making a carwash and all. But I prefer the Community Lot Time.

Have someone test if that mod conflict with inteen or Acr ?

There is a taxi which a sim can buy and make money from it. They can drive off to 'work', come back again and get a notice of how much they made. They can also wash the taxi, check it out, fix any problems and I think they can drive off again to get gas. It's been awhile since I used it, can't remember the exact name and everything about it. The need to raise a skill to earn more money, they also might get cleaning skills for maintaining the taxi. Maybe this will sound familiar to someone here. A single sim on a lot had this and did pretty good making money. (:

Yes thats taxi I use for my sim with the taxi driving career. That works fine.

So it doesn't conflict with Community Lot time?
