1970's "Mobel Home" or what is now called "Manufactured Home" with over 1,300 square feet of living space in a single wide of 16' wide by 83' long. A very roomy 3 bedrooms and 1 bath home large eat-in kitchen and an extra large living room.
The master bedroom could hold 2 king size beds with room to spare.
The 2 smaller bedrooms could hold a full size bed with end tables and a dresser, they can easily hold 2 twin beds with room to spare.
This should not be confuse with a trailer home which is very mobile and 10' wide or less where "Mobel Homes" 12' wide up to 18' wide were normally move only 1 time and set up on either a lot in a mobel home park or private property that was set up for one.
After a Mobel Home was set up they normally took off the 4-8 axles depending on the size of the home and resold back to the seller. The only time the axles were kept by the home owner is when they knew they would move it again to another location.
Furnish for a couple to get started with at $19,951.

Definitely fits the bill in most regards, just a few ideas! Just about every prefab home of this sort that I've seen still had gabled ends and a less steep roof pitch... I'd probably opt for going that way here. Also, the front facade looks remarkably unadorned, as-is. Obviously that's fine if you're going for a new home (all ready for the owners to do their own decorating!), but I'd probably try to find ways of giving it a little more variety (these homes may not offer much in the way of novelty, but the designers know that, so any little visual elements that distinguish it are likely to find their way in- even just a smaller window for the bathroom, or something!)

They are looking better now,I suggest uploading similar lots into one thread, since the major thing different is the number of rooms.
Also are they base game? If not you can edit the roof angle and make it shorter - it'll look better on those lots.
For starter homes,they look nice.

They are much improved, Marka, although I still feel that the rooms are a little too big still.
Want a specific style of house or community building? Why not take a look at my profile and see what I build and then come ask me to make it!

They were big in the 1970's and 1300 square feet of space is not small.
That is the beauty of a "Manufactured Home" instead of a travel trailer.
There are some "Manufactured Home" that are well over 4800 square feet.
@Karen Lorraine Have you seen a USA "Manufactured Home" they are big and roomy even coming with in-floor spa very large bath tubes that 4 people can use at the same time with shower and double sinks in the master bathroom.
The Mobil Home I lived in the small bedrooms were 12'x12' in size and that's not small. In this set I made them 3x4 (=9x12) instead of 4x4 (=12x12) because they looked to big for me.
I am trying to make them like real life Mobil Homes.

I like them, Marka - they look much less than mobile homes/caravans now
As more of a player than a builder myself, I personally like the size of the rooms. One could actually move a family in; and they could live in those for a much longer time than in the normal tiny starters. I don't particularly like having to move my families every time a new baby (or a set of twins) is born. There is, imo, space for cribs, high chairs, toddler stuff in general, homework tables for when they become kids - I like that. I would rather put a floor edging around a crib in existing space when needed than demolish a roof, try to fit stairs in somewhere and spend hours to make space for a crib.
So, for me, out of a players viewpoint, I will probably download Mark's homes and use them - while some tiny starters in my hood seldom survive.

It would be interesting to see some of them with shed roofs. Diversity is the name of the game.
Also, I love how they have those hanging octagonal expansions. If these were shipped with the base game when it first came out, These would be my favorite starter homes. I definitely plan to use these.

To add to each one I had to remove the flat roofs (that cost) and use regular no cost roofs but I will use them with flat roofs once I start playing again.
Remember these are made using only the base game so I am very limited on what I can use.

There are shed roofs in the game but it would go up quite steep and that would look a bit strange. Shed roofs would look good if you were able to lower the roof to 15° but that's not possible in the BG.

Then there is always space in those roofs, isn't there? Good if your family suddenly start breeding sets of twins
