How to create a default replacement mesh?
Hello,

I have a mesh I would like to turn into a default replacement...
Can I do this by just changing the instance ID's of the new mesh to the ones of the default mesh? Or do I have to do something else?

I have been looking for a tutorial but couldn't find one, so if anyone could help me with this it would be greatly appreciated.

Yes, all you have to do is give it the same TGI (Type, Group, Instance) as the game mesh.

That said, is this new mesh a reshape of the original with the same vertices and faces moved around? If the vertex numbers are different you're going to have problems with the fat/fit/thin morphs. It's possible to build new morphs but it's a big job.

Thanks for your help!

Its just a basegame mesh with a lil additional details. So I guess I'll be able to work it out

If you've added or removed vertices, you'll have morph troubles.

What I lack in decorum, I make up for with an absence of tact.
