I uploaded a building twice but it was rejected. it says that the building has a flat roof, and architecture design is bad and there should be a landscape.

To begin with, this is a modern house that there is no suitable roof for it except for flat roof. secondly, the building was rejected for architecture design in the first time - ok, i admit it was stupid looking house - but i spent many hours improving the design and the look of the house, but another rejection. I have seen a lot of buildings in this website some of them were not so good looking and some were boxy, so i can't understand what the hell is wrong with my building.
And about the landscape, they say trees must be included but in this house i couldn't find a appropriate place to place trees it just made the house ugly. and there are many modern houses in the game with no plant.
Can anyone help? please

I included some of the pictures of the building

Well look, at the end of the day, moderator taste is involved to some extent in approval decisions. If you don't want to do what you feel will spoil your creation, there are other sites who can host your work that have different submission criteria. In the end it has to be about your creativity and self-expression, or it stops being fun

Though... can I just suggest you might try one more time with an extra level, reduced to 4 clicks high, to make the roof area? The top of the house comes just a tad too abrubtly on top of the windows, and I don't think you could get one made like that in real life. Alternatively edge the top with a short CAStable fence.

id be tempted to use friezes to create a roof... maybe change the front door, as it doesnt quite fit in- just my opinion!

My opinion, you should use friezes like Bridflight said on the roof so it's not so thin.

Also maybe change out the door, or recolour it so it goes with the rest of the theme. Also would be nice to see some paint and flooring in the pool instead of the standard one
Same goes for the benches and columns. They don't fit in with the theme, and it's generally nice to see items recoloured instead of being placed as they are in the house. That way it makes it a bit more unique!

Also, personally, I would take the whole fencing one tile in, so that you have grass on the outer side and can place a couple of flowers here and there. That way it won't look to sterile.

type "placefriezes on" then you could add your foundation on top, to act like a roof.

I didn't advise friezes in the first place because I feel a frieze, at 6 clicks, is possibly a little TOO chunky for this house. You can get a pretty good effect with one of the shorter masonry "fences"

You might find the Creator Feedback area a good place to post for advice on a rejected creation. It's here:

I agree with the people who've posted so far and I hope you'll keep tweaking the house because overall it looks really nice

I like the overall design of this house - it has clean lines, but it is very white and sterile looking. Try looking at modern gardening/landscaping styles on the web to give you some more ideas. Maybe you could lose one of the pools or make one smaller, especially the one at the front of the lot? What is your house like inside? Strategically placed plants can bring a lot to life. Keep going, it's almost there, keep posting here and we'll help you.

Looking forward to the updates

In addition to some of the above comments, I'd suggest using some potted plants out on the patio - if you don't want to move the fence. The columns definitely should be more modern. I like the design and understand that some don't want/have a yard to maintain, but more plants would add some life. Also, consider recoloring the edge of the floor on the deck - maybe pick up the teal/blue of the patio. (I usually have to make it considerably darker to look like the same color, though.) Maybe recolor the roof, too. Very nice! Good job and good luck with the upload!

How about putting friezes or fences on part of the roof, but not all of it, to vary the level a bit?

Rather than Friezes Why not that short Foundation thingy to the roof areas? no distortion, no Mess, and Easier to work with and small enough not to make the house look too large

EDIT: I meant stage. My brain is fried today.

How about the stage on the roof instead of friezes or foundation-height roofs? You could make make the roof one tile over tha actual house so smoothes the roof, and you can paint it like a wall

If you remember me, I'm awesome!

In Sims terms, a freeze is just foundation on the roof. It raises the height of the roof and allows you to use pretty wall covering to make the roof stand out (if you want to).

Yeah but they're so high that I don't like to use them for this style of house. I have seen several modern houses with them, and the only ones they really look good on are where the builder has used actual one-tile closed areas as pillars, in which case it matches the thickness of the frieze. I'd use the stage for this, like someone else suggested. The house is too light in structure for a frieze.

id also be tempted to reshuffle the patio area- add a barbecue and change the side table maybe? or adding a roof-top garden to the garage- thatd be quite cool actually!

If you don't mind a challenge. You can start playing with constrainfloorelevation like Inge Jones suggested to get a 4 click high roof. TheSimSupply show you how to make that roof in this video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qG3p...d9nJdjcGV3R8%3D

It looks like a great house, but I agree with the rest of the posters you should either use the cheat "placefriezes on" in order to place foundation on the roof or you could add a small fence or stage one the roof.

I think the columns look a bit out of place.
