This user has the following games installed:

Sims 2, University, Nightlife, Open for Business, Pets, Seasons, Bon Voyage, Free Time, Apartment Life
Default {SOLVED}Different townies/npcs in every single neighborhood
Hello.
My objective is to maintain Pleasantview with the premades and townies/npcs that come by default with the game but the rest of the neighborhoods (custom ones I will create in the future and the maxis ones - River blossom hills, Desiderata Valley, etc) must come with new townies and npcs. As for the subhoods I only want one default version (the townies and npcs that comes with them) in one single neighborhood and that can be in Pleasantview too. So, if I wanted to have a downtown in pleasant view and another (maybe) custom downtown in Riverblossom Hills - the townies/npcs would have to be different.
So, if I perhaps confused something: I would like to have every single neighborhood to be unique (one of them can have the default townies and npcs, but only one.)

I was wondering if this was possible to do because until now, I have seen that this is possible but only with new custom neighborhoods.
I would like to use Tarlia's (meetmetotheriver) clean templates but they come with townies I believe? So i can't use them unless I use SimPE to safely delete them and i'm not capable of doing that. If somebody here knows any templates that are fixed as much as Tarlia's (ressurectable sims in pleasantview, fixed broken faces and memories) and comes with no townies, I would be thankfull. If such thing isn't possible link me to the best avaiable.

I have seen some tutorials too but since they are quite old (some links don't work) and not really for UC (the one I own) i'm a bit aprehensive of trying it... I do think it will be fine, at least for the UC part but I just wanted to confirm this aswell if possible.

I already downloaded the needed mods from this tutorial(s) as well so no need to worry about that. (Antiredunddacy, notowniegen, nodormie, no strays, etc)

Hopefully I didn't miss anything and wasn't to confusing explaining... (I tend to do that )

All of the Maxis made hoods have there own townies and they are good to go.

For new hood you make you need to take out the N001 folder from the Programs folder in UC under the Base folder. (I don't remember what the path is) but it should end with this: \Base\TSData\Res\UserData\Neighborhoods\N001

Now you will not get the same townies in every new hood you make.
To create townies in a new hood you need to have at least 1 family on a lot and "testingcheatsenable true" on and shift click the mailbox and there is an option to create townies.
Or.
You can create townies yourself and use the teleporter cat here to make them townies. http://www.drealm.info/simlogical/s...Teleporters.htm

Now if you also don't want all the bin sims families that gets added to every hood new and old then you need to get clean and empty stealth hoods to stop them and here at MTS are the best ones to get. http://www.modthesims.info/download.php?t=520751

Strangetown and Veronaville already have their own unique sets of townies; you don't have to worry about them. If you can't tell exactly what's in the cleaned neighborhoods from reading Tarlia's upload text, she's still out there and should answer queries.

As for getting unique townies in custom neighborhoods, you need to disable the stealth template that contains the Pleasantview townies. This will be in your game program files. I don't know how UC rearranges things, but I believe the name of the template is P001. You should be able to find that out from the tutorial on disabling stealth templates at Tarlia's site. Once that template is disabled, you'll be able to create neighborhoods that don't have the Pleasantview townies, and can either let the game spawn them for you as needed, or create your own.

For townies and NPCs that came with the expansions, such as the social group townies and Freetime hobby leaders, you will need to disable stealth hoods separately for each EP; ditto for the Family Bin sims.

@Peni Griffin the Pleasantview townies that get added to every hood you make is in the N001 folder in the programs area in what ever Base game folder for your game setup.

Well, you'd know! I wonder where I got P001? My internet computer doesn't have Sims on it anymore so I was guessing, and it's good you came along.

First, thank you guys for taking a bit of your time.

Oh, well, I thought every single neighborhood (including custom ones) copied the Pleasantview's townies since I had the same teenager in RiverBlossom Hills and in Pleasantview once but I didn't really pay much attention to the rest of the townie pool. My bad. I also just confirmed in the wiki too.
About creating townies, I want my game to create them by itself so no worries there. I don't mind the families in the bin either but thanks of informing me. Should've mentioned it in the 1st post, sorry.

I guess my problem is the stealth hoods then, I will see Tarlia's tutorial about that.
Hopefully it's ok if I post back if things don't work out. I will try my best to not to.

Thank you guys.

No problem at all. I actually knew you were wrong there too but didn't realize.
I will edit this post if I need help then.

Edit: I have the stealth hoods disabled now.
Is there a way to spawn townies and downtownies faster? ahah. I only have about 8 now and in SimPE it labels them as "Townies" (Does it specify if they are a downtownie?) and they are not the ones who come by default with Desiderata Valley (the one i'm testing with), they are using the custom content I have. I am using the clean templates by meetme2theriver but they should come with the defaults.

So, about the Seasons and Pets stealth hoods is there a way for them to be unique? I'm talking about Garden club members and strays to be totally different? Can't seem to make it work. Do I need to take out mods once I load the neighbor or if I need to enable the stealth hoods?...

Also for downtownies, for example, The Diva and Mr. Big can they have a different aspect or is that not possible? Unless I created those types of downtownies myself?

2nd Edit: Figured it out by myself except for the last question, but I think I know what I have to do. All I needed was to do some experimenting.
