Default Buying new EP forces launcher update?
So I've been doing a jolly good job at avoiding this new update which has broken quite a number of people's games. Is there any possibility that buying and installing a new EP will force the new update for the launcher?

Update: It doesn't force update. EPs are working fine. Turned off my auto update function in Origin & the launcher.

Unless you have a really old patch and you try to install a newer EP. If you have, say, 1.55 and you buy ITF, the game will force you to update to the latest patch, which would include the launcher update.
