This user has the following games installed:

Sims 3
Default Trying to install cc manually
So I've found some links to hairstyle or clothing I want that's not from tsr,or the actually sims 3 sites and I'm having trouble still installing it. I've bought my game from steam so my files for sims 3 is in a different folder than people who've actually bought the sims 3 ans installed on their computer instead of buying it on steam. Now, when I want to download something that requires me to extract the files and place it in my folders, I follow the directions/install instructions (I have 7-zip, btw). But let's say I just want to download a package from the box.com. Like this: https://app.box.com/s/3fnqr09f24zrrln6o3akxpdy8fgoa93t
I click/download it then it send me to 7-zip so I try to extract it and copy it to a folder. So I go to documents>electronic arts>The Sims 3>Downloads and try to save it there. If that doesn't work, (which it doesn't) then I go to documents>electronic arts>The Sims 3 (february 1 2015) and try to save it and it still doesn't work. I use a pc btw, not mac. I made 2 folders because someone suggested I make a back up folder.
So I don't know what to do. I've tried both of those and it still doesn't work. Which is weird because in my documents>electronic arts>Electronic Arts> The Sims 3>Downloads shows all my downloads of cc I've gotten of the Internet; so why won't it work when I download it from other sites?
