This user has the following games installed:
Sims 3, Generations, Pets, Supernatural, Seasons, University Life, Island Paradise, Into the Future
"Must have internet access to verify the games owner."
It feels like I've looked virtually everywhere but I just can't find a solution. Whenever I click play on the launcher, an EA notice pops up."Important! This game needs internet access for the games owner to be verified. Check your internet connection and try again."
*My internet works fine, there's no reason for this to be happening.
*My base game is a physical copy, and all of my EPs are on Origin. I've never had this problem before: everything worked perfectly fine until I reinstalled my game.
*My game is patched and up to date.
*I've tried being logged in through the launcher, same issue.
*All of my games have been legally purchased.
*If I take out the EPs and attempt to play with only the basegame installed, it works just fine.
I posted a thread about this a while back and nobody responded 8( Any help would be extremely appreciated, I seriously just can't figure this out. Thank you!

Try logging in. It gave me the same error until I logged in with Origin (top right). Alternately, here's a crappy copy-pasta of the page:
Background Applications
Any applications running in the background, or are open all the time, may have negatively affect you when playing your games or using Origin itself.
While having many applications running simultaneously might simply slow your computer down a bit, resulting in maybe a chugging framerate or laggy gameplay, certain applications can even lead to more serious issues, such as limited connectivity and game crashes.
If you are experiencing any issues, we recommend closing any and all background applications that you can before even launching Origin to guarantee the best gameplay performance and stability possible.
Program Interference
Certain programs and applications may load when Windows starts and are not easily and readily visible while they're running.
For example, a program or application may not appear in the Windows task bar but might be among some of your current, active processes.
These programs may interfere with either Origin or your games and cause crashes and other difficulties.
If a program is potentially causing interference with either your games or with Origin, you can either simply close or disable them, or, especially in the case of security applications, can add Origin and your individual games as exceptions--frequently referred to as "safe," or "allowed"--so that their processes are overlooked by your program or programs.
To add Origin and your games as exceptions, you can find Origin.exe at C:\Program Files (x86)\Origin, if Origin was installed in its default directory on your computer.
You should add OriginClientService.exe, also found in this folder, to your exceptions as well.
To add a specific game as an exception, head to C:\Program Files (x86)\Origin Games\"Game Name" and find the appropriate .exe--usually either the game's full title, or a truncated version.
Programs and Apps to watch out for:
The following applications and types of programs have been reported to cause issues with Origin and playing certain games.
If you've been experiencing issues, before booting up your games, or even the Origin client itself, make sure to have these, or similar programs, fully closed. If problems persist, try determining which are some of the more active, or processing intensive programs and try uninstalling them, restarting your computer, and observing your gameplay or Origin performance.
Anti-Virus Applications - Any Anti-Virus program could potentially block Origin and Origin game access, especially when not properly configured for use with Origin. Make sure that Origin and all Origin games are listed as exceptions for these programs so that they may run freely. If issues persists, try disabling, or even temporarily uninstalling the program, to test the issue.
Popular Anti-Virus programs include: McAfee Anti-virus, AVG Anti-virus, Norton Anti-virus, Microsoft Security Essentials, Kaspersky Anti-virus
Anti-Spyware Programs - Much like anti-virus programs, Anti-Spyware applications can end up blocking Origin or your games while trying to protect you. Make sure that Origin and all Origin games are listed as exceptions for these programs so that they may run freely. If issues persists, try disabling, or even temporarily uninstalling the program, to test the issue.
Popular Anti-Spyware applications include: Ad Aware, Spybot Search & Destroy, PC Tools Spyware Doctor
Firewall and other Security Applications - Like the above security-related applications, Firewalls and any other security measures running on your computer are trying their best to make sure only the right things are running at the right time, and this may cause friction or interference when running the Origin client or your games. Make sure that Origin and all Origin games are listed as exceptions for these programs so that they may run freely. If issues persists, try disabling, or even temporarily uninstalling the program, to test the issue.
Popular Firewall/Security programs include: Windows Defender, McAfee Personal Firewall, Peerblock, Peer Guardian
Peer to Peer applications - Peer to Peer programs do a good job of occupying both your net-bandwidth and, if you have many simultaneous downloads, your computer processing speed. Close out any Peer to Peer applications, or try to limit the number of active downloads or uploads while playing your games or browsing Origin.
Popular Peer-to-Peer applications include: uTorrent, BitTorrent, Kazaa, Limewire
FTP and other Web Server Programs - Much like Peer to Peer software, FTP or other Web Server programs can eat up a lot of your internet bandwidth, dramatically affecting your online play, or even take up a lot of your system's resources, resulting in slowed-down or laggy gameplay. Make sure you've exited any FTP or similar programs before playing, or minimally ensure that no downloads or uploads are active.
Popular FTP/Web programs include: Cyberduck, FileZilla, FireFTP
Download Management Applications - Download Management programs, the most-common of which are "download accelerators," may affect your game downloads or updates. Before trying to open Origin, which itself may require an update or automatically start downloading game updates, make sure to close out your Download Management software.
Popular Download Management applications include: Internet Download Accelerator, Internet Download Manager, Download Accelerator Plus
VPN, or Virtual Private Network, Applications - Virtual Private Networks allow users access to secure, private networks, such as a business intranet, across public networks, such as the internet. VPNs take up some extra internet connection bandwidth as well as computer processing power, both of which may affect the performance and responsiveness of your games, while some private networks may have additional security measures that will also limit game playability. Make sure to disconnect from any VPN you may be connected to before starting up your game.
Popular VPN applications include: Cisco AnyConnect Secure Mobility Client,
Proxy, IP Filtering, and IP Masking Programs - Using a proxy, or additionally using any sort of IP filtering or IP masking software, can affect how your computer and your games are connecting to Origin and EA's game servers. Disable any Proxies, IP filtering, or IP masking before jumping into the Origin client or your games. Note, the use of proxy server is not supported by the Origin client.
Popular Proxy and IP filtering or masking programs include: Tor, Freegate, Apache, BitGuard
Programs that have Visual Overlays - Any program that tries to place a filter, picture, or Graphical User Interface on top of a running program can potentially cause issues for Origin and Origin games, which similarly uses an In-Game Overlay feature. Make sure these types of programs are closed before running Origin or your games.
Popular applications with Overlay features include: X-Fire, Windows Blinds, Ventrilo
Note, the above list is in no way exhaustive. If you find a running program that you're unsure how to classify, disable, close, uninstall, or troubleshoot, try running a web search to learn all you can about what is active and running on your PC.
You can usually find simple and effective steps straight from the application's developer or out in the wild web regarding the same sort of problems you may be experiencing.

So I tried checking to see if Origin was conflicting with anything, and it wasn't. I also attempted disabling all my firewall and anti virus programs, but I'm still getting the same notification. After that I tried playing the game offline, and the pop up told me it couldn't connect to the server.
