This is an odd thread to discuss Simlish in...Actually, "please" in German is "bitte schoen." Pennsylvania Dutch is a dialect of Hochdeutsch, an amalgam of the dialects of the original settlers. (http://www.pgs.org/dialect.asp) And Simlish is a constructed language made of a lot of words from a lot of languages. I've seen it discussed here before.

My Downtown falls into some logical groupings, so here's another installment.
Centowski - Orlando Centowski (Family) pledged the frat because that's what Centowskis do. They're old money and they do things a certain way. Thank goodness he doesn't have to go into the family business - the romance novels he sold in college put him in the "intellectual" track, which means freedom, hurray! Centowskis also marry sorority girls; fortunately, Tri-Var had Amy Jones (Popularity), ex-papergirl. She was raised in foster homes, for heaven's sake, and she knows how to do everything, and she has all kinds of ideas about how to run things, so she can go into politics and he can stay home with the kids. How perfect is that? Now if he can just get her to stop getting all frugal and acting like there's a difference between his money and her money, or like there's something wrong with using the advantages that having it gives her. They live in a luxury apartment; which to her feels like a playhouse, less hers than the sorority was.

Gorey - It doesn't matter about the Crap with Heather, or the Crap with Castor, anymore. Martin and Allegra (Knowledge and Knowledge) got each other over it, though Martin held a grudge against his brother Joshua for a long time. After living together in her great-grandma's old house downtown for awhile, the experimental birth control method they volunteered to do clinical trials for failed, and they decided to get married. Martin took her name instead of vice versa. Everybody'd called the house "the old Gorey place" for so long, turning it into "the Ruben place" would've been mean. Martin kept his job as a doctor. Allegra quit her job as a cop and went out for art full-time. The child, Ruby (Fortune), is also artistic, but since she hit middle-school she's gotten weird. She washed the paint off her face, won't wear black, and wants to grow her hair so she can have, get this, a pony tail! What Allegra and Martin didn't count on was that, by sparing Ruby the forced socialization with chipper rich Philistines that they hated so much growing up, they prevented her from growing the hard edges they did. She's painfully shy and can't do defiance, so she'd rather not stand out. As for the pony tail - Pollux Stacks next door, who doesn't make her feel shy because she's always known him, seems to like them.

About the time Ruby was born Joshua started trying to make up, and Martin found that, now he's past the dumb-jock stage, Joshua's not that bad. That wife he married is weird and Martin pretends he doesn't find that whole pregnant-and-cooking thing she's got going on hot. Jane Stacks is Allegra's best friend in the world, and they also see Sophie Miguel Gavigan, who roomed with them after Jane graduated, pretty often. Mostly they just don't need anybody but each other, Ruby, and their cat Gothpuss.

Stacks - Allegra, Heather, Tiffany, all of them - they made it hard. Castor (Knowledge/Romance) wasn't going to jump through all their hoops, and as for that cousin of Greg's he still thinks about sometimes - well, he'd have had to outcompete that other cousin of Greg's and the mere idea is exhausting. Jane (Family/Knowledge) made it easy. She even arranged the wedding. And it's too much work to cheat on her, though he knows he's still got it - the way women visitors trip over themselves to clean up or take care of the kids when he smiles at them proves that. Castor games for a living - that takes it out of you. So does having three kids so close together. Pollux (Romance) is a chip off the old block. Girls have been following him home since first grade. John (Popularity) has the middle-kid blahs, but he's handsome enough, he'll do okay. And little Nova (Grow Up) is the prettiest girl anywhere. Castor can deny her nothing, though Jane, being in education, is pretty strict about homework; and a lot more concerned about the girls who follow Pollux home than Castor is. Kevin lives down the street, but they never say hi when they pass each other - that guy can bear a grudge. Allegra, Jane's best friend in the whole world, found them this house next door to hers when they realized they couldn't fit all these kids into the apartments available.

Swinging Bachelors - Skylar Todd(Knowledge) graduated without figuring out exactly what he wanted to do with his life, so he drifted a bit. Who knew answering a roommate ad would change his life? Georgette Skirt took him over - new hair, new clothes, new ways of looking at the world - and took him to bed. Nobody'd ever spent that much attention on him before! When she moved out to help her parents during her father's alien pregnancy, the apartment was unbearable. So he answered another roommate ad, and now he's living in one of those old bay-windowed places on Custer with a fellow named Gary "Goopy" Gilscarbo (Romance). When Skylar invited Georgette to see his new pad she helped him break in the couch and the double bed. She seems depressed. Skylar's decided to make something of himself for her sake, and joined the SCIA. Meanwhile, Gary took notice of his new roomie's main squeeze. It bugs him that this college kid (Gary barely got his GED) got some before he did, but after all, he's new in town and hasn't met many honeys yet. He's out there looking...and he knows Skylar's fooling himself thinking he's got any future with Georgette. Why, Gary'd be doing him a favor, disillusioning him.

Pitts-Upsnott - At college, Ashley Pitts (Romance) and Brittany Upsnott (Popularity) ignored the fact that they were supposed to get married right up till Brittany's graduation party, where she pushed the issue (partly to piss off Clovis Point) and they got engaged. But after graduation, Ashley kept playing the field. Brittany got sick of waiting, and got pregnant on purpose. When he heard the dread word "late," Ashley turned pale, but went through with it. Brittany is a cop. Ashley is a professional party guest. For most of the marriage he's been a lazy and opportunistic cheater, the kind of guy who sticks his ring in his pocket and hopes for the worst; but going permaplat has made him bolder. Georgette was mad when she found out he was married, but they've made up. And if the kid their former neighbor just had were his, she'd have said something, right? Although the math does time out...In their own weird, disfunctional way, these two do seem to love each other. Brittany is an expert at not seeing what she wouldn't be happier for seeing, but lordy, how she lit into that neighbor at the slightest provocation! Their daughter Ashleigh (Romance) has no idea she was conceived for a purpose and is far more concerned with connecting with other girls with her proclivities. Daddy's always warning her about boys - he's so clueless! Gracie Hawkins is her best friend in the world, but the daughters of Mom's sorority sisters are so lame! Unlike the frat, that cohort of the sorority has a lot of solidarity, partly because of Brittany's constant desire for parties.

Gay - Leslie Gay (Romance/Pleasure) is Ben Aerius's sister, but they don't get along. She always thought his mother-in-law was hot. (So did Ashley; you have no idea how much time I spent staring at those triple bolts, making up my mind!) She lives next door to the Pitts-Upsnotts. She has lots of improbable friends, some of whom can't stand each other, so her parties are always interesting. She takes credit for Eppie's finding herself, and is proud of her record for snagging otherwise straight women. Her indiscriminate policy of bedding women without finding out what they want out of life has resulted in one Family townie obsessing over her, though. I think that's going somewhere - not sure where yet.

Beare - We don't need to go into the gory details of the college career of Heartbreak Heather Huffington (Family/Romance). Kevin Beare (Family) was the one who couldn't get over her, who understood long before she did that she wasn't evil; just undereducated. Her father was Romance, her mother was Fortune, she was an inconvenience - she had no idea how love worked, only that she wanted it. Kevin forgives her. (Castor, no. Castor can burn in hell.) When she got pregnant, Ben asked him what made him think it was his kid, and the only reply he could make was "What makes you think I care? She can't raise a baby on her own." So they got married, and the baby had Kevin's eyes. They all do, and are also blonde as straw, so Ben can stuff it. Kevin works in show business, which has mostly night hours, which means he's home in the daytime and the kids are home while he's at work, and everything's fine. Heather wants six kids and hasn't any more energy than she ever did, so Kevin works like a dog, but that's his lookout.

They're only up to four kids. Honey (Family/Knowledge) has been in love with Dominic Moiselle since her first day of school. Her best friend, to Heather's puzzlement, is her polar opposite Amanda Ruben, who thinks Honey needs somebody looking after her who isn't afraid to say boo to a goose. Edward (Fortune) is a sweet boy, good with his hands, and every bit as painfully shy as Honey. Cinnamon (Grow Up) is the little rebel, refusing to wear pink. Baby Winnie was supposed to be a boy named Paddington, but maybe next time. Heather sees all her old sorority sisters regularly (they're a big help to a pregnant lady) and is Sally Ruben's only close friend. She's friends with Leslie (Kevin doesn't know about that little experiment), and recently remade friends with Clovis, which has no hidden perils at all.

Thanks for your patience while I get this stuff out of my head.

Starchild - Jared Starchild (Family/Pleasure) was lonely at college, even with all his friends; until junior year, when he ran into a cute little redheaded nerd girl at the student union. Sara Bellum (Knowledge/Fortune) lived in a residence with Sophie Miguel and another girl. Sophie's dad was representing the girls, the only survivors of a duplex fire, in a suit against the landlord. Sara blew Jared away, and the fact that she was a freshman didn't bother him; he knew a good thing when he saw it, and he latched on. Now they're married and live on the corner of Custer and Mendoza downtown. Jared paints and looks after their daughter, Alta Mira, a little know-it-all who looks exactly like her mom. Sara works for the same gaming company as Castor Stacks and has cleaned their house for them more than once.

Swain - If Erik Swain came across as morose during his college years, it was not without cause. His father died in the line of duty, his mother never got over it, he doesn't want to talk about it, okay? He made good friends in his dorm, and when most of them joined the Greeks (which he had no time for) he and his best bud Jared moved into a residence together. Sam at the sorority used to try to set him up with Georgia Newson, but he saw that ugly Hawkins guy hanging around, he wasn't born yesterday, no way he's going to put himself out there to get hurt like that. The way Jared set out to cradle-rob that little freshman was disgraceful. She and her roommates would come over, and Natalie Drest (Fortune/Family), the other fire survivor, was also studying biology, so he could help her out with the freshman stuff, no harm in that, but that business with her trying to flirt with him, he wasn't having any. He had principles, and she was just a kid. A vulnerable kid. Who needed protecting.

Erik resisted Natalie a looooong time, but it was the kind of resistance that carried its own flag of surrender trailing behind it. He calls her "kid," she calls him "you old prude." He's in law enforcement, she's in medical, and they both get off at 6, which is unfortunate, as it means they have to hire a nanny. Their daughter Erika is a natural artist and from toddlerdom showed every sign of growing into a family sim. Erik dotes on them both almost to the point of smothering. He's ready for another, but Natalie wants to wait until at least one of them has a saner schedule. They're still best friends with Jared and Sara, but Alta Mira and Erika have some rivalry going on.

Bubbler - Skipping over the house where David Ottomas lives, the last house on Mendoza belongs to Ty (Popularity) and Sam Bubbler nee Thomas (Popularity/Family), and their cat/surrogate child Sopa. Ty fancies himself a matchmaker - it was he who influenced Natalie to flirt with Erik at a frat party - but he's not interested in having kids, and neither, so far, is Sam. He's a restauranteur and she's on the artist track. They got fed up with their apartment and moved to the same street as their old friends from the Greek days, getting a deal on the house because it's supposed to be haunted. Which it is, by John Thomas Orphan, a strung-out hippy who starved to death while alien pregnant. Poor thing. They work weird hours and throw parties as often as possible - their childless state means they always have time to help their more tied-down friends stay in touch. Sam keeps thinking something weird's going on and Ty keeps assuring her it's all right, though he can't stand to be alone there himself and doesn't sleep well anymore.

Phoenix - Across the street and down aways, we have The House of Fallen Trees. Formerly the home of notorious rake and polygamist cult leader John Smith Tricou, it has stood empty since the mysterious death of the last owner, sitting on the market with its price going steadily down - a process tracked by the watchful eyes of Lora Wolosenko (Fortune/Pleasure).

The oldest of Tricou's surviving illegitimate children, Lora - like her five half-siblings - was supported by a trust fund, which enabled her to attend Sim State. Her time in Tri-Var overlapped with Georgia Newson, Natalie Drest, Sam Thomas, and her younger sister, Beverly Ku (Pleasure). While there, she began to feel the need for a sense of purpose, which gradually coalesced into a desire to rebuild her family's status from the ashes of her father's folly, including connecting with the half-siblings she barely knew, helping them to find their way, and restoring the House of Fallen Trees to its pre-cult glory. She was still a Tricou, though - her route back to respectability lay through a career in show business. She made a huge splash in the lead role in Oil!: The Musical, and is now a leading lady of some note.

The first half-sibling to join her, while in a duplex next door to fellow Tri-Var Brittany Pitts-Upsnott, was Beverly - Bad News Beverly, as her Tri-Var sisters dubbed her. Lora loves Beverly, but the girl has the sense God gave a golf ball. Probably the only reason she didn't spend her entire trust fund on clothes shortly after graduating was that looking at numbers makes her head ache and she gladly turned control of it over to Lora (who is a real pain about the credit card bills). Beverly's main accomplishment at Sim State was to cheat on 3/5 of the frat in a single semester, though the narrowness with which she avoided bankrupting Tri-Var House while stocking its closets is a close second. So it wasn't any big surprise when she turned up pregnant and, when asked who the father was, replied: "I dunno, some guy." Actually she knew perfectly well it was Ashley Pitts-Upsnott, who she'd banged farewell in a photo booth on the eve of his moving to his new place on King Street; but that wife of his wasn't likely to divorce him and Bev isn't into the marriage thing anyway, so what's the point of even bringing it up?

Prior to Beverly's advent, Lora had advertised for a roommate, and Phoenix McClellan (Romance), a lowly laborer in the food service industry, had responded. Lora'd grown fond of him (not realizing that he had a crush on her), and knew he didn't make enough money to afford a place of his own, so she had Beverly in with her and let Phoenix keep his room. When the next Tricou, Derek Zarubin (Pleasure/Fortune) moved in, no one thought of asking Phoenix to leave. Derek's career at Urele-Oresha-Cham had been marked by vitriolic fights with his frat brothers for bad mouthing Bev and hurting her feelings (who cares if she deserved it, she's his sister!), which were generally made up over the poker table. Derek is gay, and a serial dater, whose only close permanent relationship so far in his life is Beverly. Like Lora, her pecadillos arouse more protectiveness than impatience in him.

Derek's theory is that nobody ever got wealthy working for someone else, and he's willing to hustle for his dollars as long as he doesn't have to punch a time clock. Phoenix progressed all the way up to manager of the Burger Queen under Lora's steadying influence, but his financial contribution and Derek's trust fund did not add up to the price of the House of Fallen Trees by the time Beverly got pregnant. Lora was looking for affordable housing big enough for them all when she went on a date with her old flame from Sim State, Jimmy Phoenix (Popularity/Family).

Jimmy, in some ways the ultimate frat boy, and Lora had always had good times together in college. Unfortunately, so did he and Georgette Skirt. Georgette made things complicated between them, as did Lora's acquisition of ambition while he was still in party-every-night mode. They couldn't seem to get together and they couldn't seem to get over each other. He lived in an apartment across the hall from Clovis Point (with whom he once caught Georgette; and who Lora was dating when Sadie told him she was pregnant, right in front of her - between them, they had soap operatic time of it) and they settled into a routine of "friends with benefits." Until the day he took her to lunch and heard the whole saga of Bev's pregnancy and the house hunt and her being responsible to every-freaking-body down to that nobody Phoenix and nobody being responsible to her. Suddenly everything his friend Harris had been trying to din into his head for years clicked. He'd been waiting for some external force to decide things for him, but it was a simple choice. He could step up for her, and be a man; or he could stand still, and be less.

So they married, and his income and savings enabled them to afford, with some sharp bargaining on Lora's part, the House of Fallen Trees. It's dark, and needs tons of work, and for the moment it's barely furnished. But Lora and Jimmy look at those downstairs rooms and the backyard, and see a party venue par excellance; and at the upstairs rooms and see space for family - the three upcoming Tricous, in Lora's case, and a kid or two of their own, in Jimmy's. Beverly's son, Tri, is everybody's pet, and Phoenix - who likes Jimmy about as much as he resents him - has sublimated a lot of his crush on Lora into putting the moves on other, more accessible women - including Beverly. Who just got engaged to another old frat boy, Jimmy's fellow willing-victim-of-Georgette, Jim Spitzig. There's no date set or anything, but when he asked, Beverly suddenly had this great idea for a wedding dress, so she said yes.

In short, the soap opera continues on its merry way. No one has been into the basement and seen the coffins yet, and no one's seen a ghost. Nor have they figured out the answer to the most urgent question: Where shall we put a powder room on the first floor?

Casa - When Miguel Casa and his wife Eneida applied for visas, their daughter Sue was a child. By the time their legal simmigration finally became a reality and they left Guasimala behind, Sue (Family) had married and her oldest children were teens. (You see why the Ianas went the semi-legal route? Much faster!) Esteban Casa (Fortune) took his wife's name on the visa to simplify the paperwork.

Moving into a two-bedroom, one-bath apartment on Downmarket Street, Esteban and Miguel found work while the children went to school and Eneida and Sue stayed home raising the children and adjusting to Simerican life. After Miguel died during the Llama Flu epidemic, and Eneida had a nervous breakdown, Esteban - who had, in a lucky break, been signed by the Llamas despite being a bit long in the tooth for an athletic career - purchased a three-bedroom, two-bath house, where Eneida died. Esteban is doing well financially, though he'll have to retire soon if he can't land a coaching position, and this worries him. He also has a reputation as a troublemaker, because he doesn't let himself get pushed around, and because he doesn't like to see putas running around on his son Estebanico.

Estebanico (Family/Romance) had a miserable high school career. Simerican girls didn't go for his macho style, and it was impossible to keep properly groomed in that apartment! (0 nice points, 10 neat - he had a public restroom phobia, and the only way to manage that apartment at all was to send people to community lots with showers and facilities, so he was in constant near-aspiration failure, nor could he pick up a girl to save his life). Making his father's ambition to send his kids to college a reality, Estebanico roomed with Jared and Erik till he pledged the frat, and somewhere in there Georgette Skirt took him in hand and showed him how he'd been handling Simerican girls all wrong. He has the distinction of being the first person to woohoo Beverly Ku (and, therefore, the first person ever to catch her cheating). After woohooing it up as much as he could for a couple of years, Estebanico decided it was time to start thinking about the future, and looked around for a nice girl to marry. His attention was caught by Tosha Go (Family), an innocent freshman, in the throes of disillusion after learning that her crush, Derek Zarubin, was gay; newly pledged at Tri-Var; embarrassed at the way Georgia, Sam, and Natalie woohooed their boyfriends sequentially upstairs while parties went on downstairs. Estebanico charmed her like a snake does a bird, and they were soon engaged - but not woohooing. Nice girls don't do that till they're married.

Estebanico graduated, buying the house next door to Esteban and Sue and sharing expenses with his frat brother/best friend/rival, Jim Spitzig (Fortune/Popularity). When Tosha and Estebanico came back from their honeymoon (courtesy of Tosha's parents, who were too busy to come to the wedding), Jim started looking for a place; but then Tosha turned out to be pregnant with twins, Jim made a bad call and got fired from his job at Don Miguel's law firm, and he probably will be staying around helping for awhile. Feeling like a third wheel, juggling babies he has no stake in, watching Tosha make much of Estebanico, and long ago resigned to the fact that "his type" is sluts, Jim impulsively proposed to Beverly recently. But he'd as soon be in hell with his back broken as join the menage in the House of Fallen Trees.

The twins, Stephen and Natasha, will be crawling soon. Tosha would kind of like to get a teaching job, but Estebanico gets crabby every time she mentions it. Tosha's a meek, happy little self-deceiver. She knows Estebanico succumbed to Bev's charms once while they were engaged, but she's sure that's the only time anything like that happened and he certainly wouldn't cheat on her now! She's far too glad to know Beverly is getting married to try to talk Jim out of it the way she knows she should. He'll be good for her, and they can be friends again, and everything will be lovely lovely lovely...

The second Casa child, Susana (Popularity/Family) dated Luis Iana in high school, and is still excellent friends with him. At Sim State, however, she met David Ottomas and fell in love. Her parents are dubious about him - a musician, for heaven's sake! - but Susana joined the military on graduation, putting the entire family on the fast track to naturalization, and she's also just produced the third grandchild, Dave. Susana is a go-getter and believes wholeheartedly in David's career. She loves her big brother, but she also knows perfectly well he's a macho jerk, and she keeps a close eye on the welfare of her dear friend Tosha.

Emilio (Pleasure) is currently at Sim State, living in the frat and having a grand time, dating sorority girl Lily Pond (Fortune) and meddling in his friends' affairs. His last year of high school was marred by the discovery that the cute junior he picked up at the bowling alley, Theodora, was in fact a ninth-grader - and not just any ninth-grader, but the little sister of his friend Sharla and brother-in-law David! (Hey, he hadn't seen her since she was ten! She'd changed a lot!) Though he's never seen a girl around campus who was worth hurting Lily's feelings over, he finds himself looking forward to seeing Theodora again when she arrives soon.

Still at home are Jovita (Knowledge), who was a toddler when the family simmigrated, and Miguelito (Fortune), who was born in the apartment on Downmarket Street. Though Esteban has a distant relationship, at best, with his oldest children, he dotes on his youngest. Jovita went steady with George Hawkins in high school, which worries Esteban - that Hawkins reputation! But she's a good girl, a smart girl, reads all the time, and she'll be staying with a bunch of girl friends on campus, with a couple of their brothers to look after them all. Esteban also worries that he's spoiled Miguelito a bit - he's so sensitive, in middle school already and never been in a fight! But he's also friendly and wants to be an athlete like his Papi, and Simerica doesn't require a man to be as tough as Guasimala does.

Sue isn't worried about any of them. Her children are smart and level-headed and wonderful, and she wishes she could have more of them. But she'll settle for grandchildren. That Tosha doesn't know the first thing about babies, but at least she'll let Sue instruct her. She and Esteban are closer now than they ever have been before, especially since Esteban bought a vacation home and took them all to Twikkii Island after Estebanico and Tosha told them how nice it was.

And that's it for the main hoods. There's five households currently at Sim State, but two of them are total subsets and recombinations of families in Drama Acres and Downtown, so tomorrow I'll tell you about the Greek Fodder and the current roster at the Greeks, and that'll be that.

I may as well do the Greeks and Greek Fodder as one big family, since they're really an assortment of loose ends tied together, and I can detail the characters with some sort of narrative order this way.

Alon Livingstone (Knowledge) has no idea who his parents were. Adopted by a consortium of mad social scientists with a Theory, he was raised in a lab from an infant until the Llama Flu epidemic brought health workers around. He has no idea what he said to make them react the way they did, but the scientists (whom he doesn't miss) are now at Happy Acres Maximum Security Rehabilitation Sanitarium, and he found himself in foster care with a paper route. The paper route proved to be good transitional therapy for him, and he was able to go to Sim State with a clean bill of mental health, though he still doesn't know what the social workers thought was wrong with him. He's wildly competent, after all, except about cleaning and talking to people.

He was shy for dorm life, but fortunately for him the same could not be said of his dormmates Jay McCullough (Pleasure/Knowledge) and Dulcie deLeche (Popularity). Jay was the next Tricou in line, mostly killing time in the dorm till he could pledge; and Dulcie was an online friend of his from New Guasimala (and no, she didn't need a visa - that's a state, not a country, sheesh, didn't you learn geography?). She's from the upper crust of the state, descendant of hidalgos, and her people have been in Simerica longer than the Tricous and Centowskis put together. Dulcie came east to attend Sim State because she was tired of the desert and Jay made Drama Acres sound like so much fun! She pledged Tri-Var as fast as she could, and she and Jay are dating like whoa, without much thought for where, if anywhere, that might go. Laid-back Dulcie thinks all of her friends should be friends with each other. It's a trial to her that Jay learned from Derek the fine art of blaming all of Beverly's problems on somebody else. Though his short attention span enabled him to make up with all his frat brothers, he never has forgiven Sharla for stealing Luis away from his sister; and Dulcie thinks Sharla's a doll. She keeps trying to make him see reason, but he can't be in the same room with Sharla without picking on her.

Alon wrote a children's book, Paper City, and is trying to write another; but Sparrow Hawkins has turned him inside out and upside down till he doesn't know what he's writing about anymore. She spotted him at the University Way Shops and started talking to him like she talked to strangers every day. She read the book and told him it wasn't a book for or about children, but about a philosophy of child-rearing for people who believed in philosophy but didn't believe in children. She taught him to understand why people (like her housemates; cripes, the things he'd hear in her house!) go in for woohoo, but kept saying he "wasn't ready" for it himself. He begged to differ! She acted like it was a part he had to audition for and a final he needed to study for, instead of a pleasant instinctual urge to satisfy as soon as possible.

Meanwhile, Amber Dawn arrived on campus. The illegitimate daughter of a midwestern crime lord, she came to Sim State to establish herself in society and acquire the skills necessary to extend his criminal empire all the way to the east coast. She pledged the sorority - rather against her own inclinations, but the Greeks are a great way to make connections. She'd really rather hole up in a shed and learn to make robots. She met Alon at various Greek parties, and found him delectably hot and naive. Also, that homely stuck-up Sparrow Hawkins (where on earth does a girl like that get off acting like the Queen of Sheba? And why do all the boys get that glazed look in their eyes when she comes round?) needed taking down a peg. So she asked Alon out. Her mother always told her the way to a man's pocket, heart, and everything else was through his pants, so he didn't hear any "not ready" nonsense from her! They wound up engaged. She expected this to cause drama, but it didn't go the way she expected it to at all, and she's a little in awe of Sparrow these days. It weirds her out that Sparrow turned being dumped into some sort of perverse triumph. She needs to learn how that was done!

Alon's ego was devastated that she turned right around from him and took up with Gerry, who is fat, pulls Bs, doesn't have nearly as many skill points or any publication credits - in short, in all ways, he's inferior to Alon, and yet a week didn't pass between Alon getting engaged and Gerry being allowed into Sparrow's bed. Gerry wouldn't rub a man's inferiority where it counts in his face - but there's only so much of that crap he can take, and Alon won't leave him alone. Dulcie keeps trying to mend fences. Emilio, however, is prone to stir the pot in what he imagines to be Gerry's favor.

For her part, Amber - annoyed that Alon is not over Sparrow - started checking out guys at the College Sports Center and got an eyeful of Tommy Ottomas. Yes, he's not playing with a full deck, but he's got enough cards for both her criminal and her possible revenge-dating needs. Daddy always said a clever monomaniac was a useful resource. She hasn't made up her mind yet, but it won't hurt to make friends with him.

Amid all this drama, the next-to-youngest Tricou, Daniel Kim (Pleasure, but you knew that) came to campus, rooming with Alon till Rush Week. Daniel wants to be an entertainer, doesn't know his family particularly, and dated Theodora Ottomas, but doesn't know she's coming to campus soon. After only a single semester, he doesn't have a place in the storyline yet, but with Theodora on her way, the final Tricou needing to be brought in soon, and the general liveliness of the Greeks, I'm sure he'll find himself one soon.

And, finally, Lily Pond (Fortune) came to Sim State from a different, more urban state, attracted by the small-town atmosphere, the excellent economics program, and the distance from the judgmental eyes of her family. She was created by randomization in CAS - everything from appearance to turn-ons rolled for with my trusty polyhedral dice - and I was rewarded with a triple-bolt match for Emilio, who has always been hard to find dates for, even when I toyed with the idea of freaking his Papi out by making him gay. Although she pledged Tri-Var for business reasons, she isn't all that into the sorority thing and is best friends with half the frat but none of her "sisters." Evidently one of those women who gets along better with men on a day-to-day basis. She looks after the garden Tosha started and enjoys long hikes, toymaking, birdwatching, videogames, and Emilio. She knows, because the guys are always kidding him about it and because she's BFF with Sharla (with whom she stayed for less than 24 hours before she pledged; Sharla must be a great roommate, because everybody who shared that house with her loves her to death), about his inappropriate dating of Theodora, but she's not apprehensive about her advent. She's just a kid, after all; and Emilio's older, wiser, and with Lily now. If anything, Lily probably hopes to be able to provide a little big-sisterly guidance in Sharla's place, to pay forward Sharla's kindness to her.

And thank you for your interest! I know that's a lot of material, and I'm impressed you read it all. I expect your game is just as interesting, really, when you play it. Remember I started with a lot of backstory, and even so a lot of what I wrote here didn't exist when I started.

I didn't know precisely how most of them were related till after I'd observed their relationships for awhile, and back-engineered things like Madge and Mary being sisters. I knew Red Onions was the brother of Marie Curian when I built them in CAS, because I gave them both red hair, but I didn't know he was her little brother. And Ernest forced his love story with Sage Ann on me - I was going to set him up with Jane Stacks, and had a vague idea that Sage Ann was a lesbian! Nor did I have any idea that the Hawkinses were woohoo gods, till they started scattering lightning bolts all over the hood; or that Red didn't like Ernest's father, until they had a conversation about it in-game; in which I found out that the real reason Frank wouldn't go fishing was that Ernest wasn't going to be able to build up enough credit at the company store for the wedding present he wanted to buy Sage Ann, and Frank didn't want to lose hours that he could spend to help him cover the cost of it. Red's response was the only instance of an actual cuss word in my dialog so far; there wasn't any other possible response. Not that would fit in the little window.

Interpreting the game actions into a story, and hearing the dialog, and so on, is a habit of mind. I'm in that mode constantly, because writing stories is what I do. You may have to make a conscious effort to engage with your sims on that level a few times, but once you get the habit, you'll find it happening automatically, and realize that there's nothing dull at all about your sims!

I made a new neighbourhood about 4 months ago when I got bored of the old one and the families are just entering into their third generation. So:

Tomlin: Popular girl Gracie Richards (Family) and geek Max Tomlin (Knowledge) somehow, although nobody remembers how, ended up together and had three children. They are now somewhat boring elders; Gracie makes teddy bears all day and Max is glued to the computer giving finacial consulting - when he's not working as a mad scientist, that is.

Their eldest son Aadyn (Romance/Family) first dated Hope Heath, and then got bored of her and cheated on her with her younger sister Maddison, whom he got pregnant, and then left. He's now a chef, living with his wife Makayla (I think the Family secondary kicked in) and baby son Lennox. Makayla is also pregnant with twins.

Aadyn's younger sister Johannah (Knowledge) is married to Joseph Rooke, and just gave birth to her first child, Adah Johannah Suzanna Rooke. Joseph and Johannah had a bit of a tough time whilst she was in college and he was running the family business, but now they're back together again, things are looking up. Johannah is in the education career, but I forget what her exact job title is at the moment.

The youngest child, Elliot (Family) is living with his fiancee Aurora James and their baby daughter Josette. Elliot runs a shop selling fresh fruit and vegetables from his garden and fish from his pond.

James: Cassie (Family) and Nate (Knowledge) James became the baby machines of the hood when they popped out eight children, starting and finishing with a set of twins. Cassie was recently widowed as Nate suffered incurable pnemonia after contracting the flu from work or his children one too many times. However, she and the children are living quite comfortably on their savings; Cassie has never worked a day in her life, and doesn't intend to start now.

Makayla (Pleasure) is the oldest James child by a matter of minutes. She has only ever dated Aadyn Tomlin, who she went on to marry, but I can't see it staying that way for very long; she's the kind of sim who will leave him with the (soon to be three) children and move on.

Sasha (Family), Makayla's twin, married his high school sweetheart Hope James after a brief blip in their relationship by the name of Aadyn Tomlin. Sasha is a military general and they have two sons: Jason, who just aged up to child, and Thomas Nathan "Nat", who just became a toddler.

Jade (Knowledge) was always the quietest of the James bunch, the one lost in the background as a kid, being only a year younger than the twins. She was the first to go to college and now works as a Marine Biologist, living in her own little house right next door to her next brother...

Jack (Fortune) has big dreams for his future. A just starting out businessman, ametur artist, Jack also seeks to prove that aliens do indeed exist, even if he has to be abducted by them to prove it...

Derren (Popularity) has just moved into a place of his own and is trying his luck as an athete. He's rattling around in his four-bedroomed house, looking for a woman to share it with.

Aurora (Popularity) got fed up of being ignored and persued a relationship with the somewhat older man, Elliot Tomlin, although things seem to have worked out, and they're now engaged with a baby daughter, Josette.

The second set of twins Niki (Popularity) and Egan (Family) are just about to head of to college with Egan's girlfriend Miriam Rooke, leaving Cassie all alone...

Rooke: Abe (Family) and Suzi (Fortune) Rooke had big dreams for their lives, in the shape of a handmade toyshop that has grown into a babycare empire, although they now take a back seat, leaving all the hard work to their children.

Joseph (Fortune) is the only son and heir of the Rookes. He now runs the family business with the help of his teenage sisters and has just got married to Johannah Tomlin. He was secretly disappointed with the birth of his daughter Adah, hoping for a son to carry on the family name - if he doesn't produce an heir then the name will die out.

Ruth (Popularity), Joseph's twin, moved out as soon as she could, and started her own business selling pottery and paintings. She soon succumed lure of one of her customers, Amin Sims (Popularity), who has since moved in although they're not yet married.

Naomi (Knowledge) is in college with her three-bolt-chemistry boyfriend Mannie Heath. She can't wait until they graduate and marry, simultaenously wanting a family and a career which looks possible as her boyfriend followed her to college because he couldn't be without her and as a family sim would be perfectly content staying at home and raising children.

Miriam (Popularity) works in the family shop part time as she finishes high school ready to go to college with her boyfriend Egan James and his twin sister, her best friend.

Sarah (Family) is the youngest of the Rooke clan and again can't wait to go to college, find a nice guy and settle down...

Heath: Casey (Family) and Amelia (Popularity) Heath struggled to have children and so adopted Hope. Then Amelia fell pregnant with Maddie. Then they adopted Hope's brother Mannie. Then they tried desperately for number four, and with IVF concieved octuplets. Two died before birth, but the remaining six survived and are now twelve. Amelia is an ex-professional athlete and Casey stays at home and has home-schooled all nine of their children.

Hope (Family/Pleasure) is married to Sasha James and the two of them juggle their jobs (Hope is a police officer) and their sons.

Maddie (Pleasure) resented the bond biological siblings Hope and Mannie had, and that played a great part in her relationship with Hope's then boyfriend, Aadyn Tomlin, who fathered her son, Casey Jr., now eight. Maddie tried valiently to be a single teenage mum, and eventually met Seth Couderc (Family), who refuses to marry her, but nevertheless cohabits and fathered her daughter, Bella.

Mannie (Family/Pleasure) was adopted by Casey and Amelia after two years of bouncing from relative to relative, and imediately bonded with his biological sister Hope. He's now in college with his girlfriend Naomi Rooke, and is ready to get married and be a dad.

And the sextuplets: Francesca (Popularity), Alexa (Fortune), Isaac (Pleasure), Toby (Family), Holly (Romance) and Felix (Knowledge) have just become teens, so I'm still working out their personalities and what the future has in store for them.

Cole: Luke (Pleasure) and Leonie (Family) have just moved to town with their two-year-old son, Harrison. They're simply there because I wanted Derren James' eventually wife to have a child and a backstory; Luke is abusive and with Derren's help Leonie and Harrison will escape from him whilst Leonie simultaneously lets Derren under her guard and falls in love with this hopeless unshaven athlete.


On a mildly related note, does any one have any advice on how often I should create new families and add them into my hood? Primarily I want the sims in it to be decendants of the Tomlin, Rooke, James and Heath families, but I let rather too many of the second generation sims to marry each other and as a result I won't be able to go much further without a serious amount of inbreeding unless I let them marry townies or create new families...

I can only tell you how I did it.

At first, I loaded all the premades families that had children - the Newsons, Gavigans, Ottomases, and (when I loaded Bon Voyage), the Travellers. I also played the premade college students at Sim State, at first just the ones already in households, and then, when the Greeks ran low, the ones in the student bin. I also had a Wonderful Idea and made my simmigrant families, and have never regretted it although the challenge I was playtesting turned out to be too hard to get structured properly. They add a lot of variety and interest to the hood.

Townies who become sufficiently involved with playables marry in, or in the case of teens move to college, when appropriate. That's how I got my Tricou bastards, another bunch I've never regretted, though since they all have the same father I've had to feed them in on a set schedule. Since getting FreeTime, instead of relentlessly ignoring townie children, I age them up when playable acquaintances age up; I am slowly using up all the children and replacing them with teens I can send to college when appropriate. I also seeded the adoption pool with six multi-racial toddlers.

Now that I'm trying to control the size of my rotations more, I am only allowing myself to add one CAS family per sim year, on the first day of spring (my year starts with spring) at 1 Poore Street (the first house ever played). This family can be of any size and configuration, and so far has been used address a teen girl shortage (see the Thyme family, above). When one of the Greeks is in danger of falling below three members, I send either send a townie teen to college, or create a freshman of the appropriate gender, depending on present circumstances/ my mood. I have twice invited roommates to move in, and added the Gilscarbo dude by accident with ChristianLove's Gussy Up program.

The answer is a lot of families.

Ramza Family: My first and main family that I don't use as much anymore, it's my sim Damasca and his two kids Axel and Azhure (What I'd want to name my first son and daughter if I had kids), Damasca is a single dad and is a great dad to his kids, the kids are happy as they can be and are popular at school (Well I assume they are, since they always bring kids home or have kids showing up to see them), they all reached lifetime happiness and I just can't be bothered to age the kids into teenagers because they're too cute. The mother cheated on Damasca after the two kids were born, so Damasca left Belladonna Cove with the kids and moved to Plesantview, where he lives now with the kids.

Raetos Family: The Raetos family is a single dad who has six kids and a dog (He really got around in his younger days and had four kids and adopted two.), he looks after them as well as he can, but with his erratic work hours, the kids aren't as close to him as they should be, the kids mostly spend time together and enjoy each other's company, they aren't that popular at school, but they're good friends with the Ramza family.

Lairon Family: The mother's a single parent whose sexual exploits got her knocked up with twins that belonged to two different guys she hooked up with at the same time (Actually possible, but very uncommon) and after giving birth to them, she mostly focused on herself and her exploits, her daughter is aware of what her mother's truly like and has little to no respect for her mother, but her brother is blissfully unaware and she wants to keep it that way.

Ares Family: Happy couple who met in college and got married, they had a son named Faris and they adore him, they recently had a baby girl they named Alicia and they couldn't be happier. They're my ordinary family.

Madrigal Family: Married couple with three kids in a two bedroom apartment, it's pretty cramped, but they make it work. Not much goes on there.

Stantler Family: A gay couple who adopted two kids and are a very happy family together, the kids are now teenagers and trying to adjust.

I'm playing my (pregnant younger) Self-Sim, her husband and daughter in a Sim-Version of our old house at the moment and I'm hoping for their second child to be a boy, like in real life.

Also I'm trying to add Sim-Versions of my family and friends to the neighborhood but it's a big chunk of work building their homes...don't know if I'll have the patience to really make it.

Right now the only family I'm really playing is the Reid family. The Reid family is my attempt at doing a legacy challenge. They're probably some of the dumbest sims I've ever had.

Well, lets see.

Jim Hawkins (I made my version of Treasure Planet's Jim Hawkins on my Alternate Etherium story with my friends, Kendall and Vincent. and if only this place has the Treasure Planet CCs, then I would have the original Jim Hawkins) He and his wife, Rebekah Masters, live in a peaceful neighborhood, and Jim has a job in the police department.

Rebekah Masters (My character) A scientist on Space Station 77 (Alternate Etherium), and a loving wife to Jim Hawkins. She works as a scientist in her neighborhood, making medicine and discovering new species.

Cassie Hawkins Daughter of Jim Hawkins and Rebekah Masters-Hawkins, and is Caleb Hawkins's fraternal twin sister. She is one spoiled child when she was a toddler, but as a teenager, her parents won't let her do things the other teenagers are doing, going out pass curfew.

Caleb Hawkins Son of Jim Hawkins and Rebekah Masters-Hawkins, and is Cassie Hawkins's fraternal twin sister. He's the responsible one in the family. Although he's grouchy, he still cares for his sister. Though for some reason he sneaks out at night.

Lavitzon:
Amelie Lavitzon was married to Kris Fouler. She lived in the house with him and her brother Caleb. Caleb never liked Kris, so he moved out and got engaged to his gay boyfriend Daerren. Kris was flirting with every female in the neighborhood, only to cheat on his wife with Rachel Evilner, who happens to be filthy rich. XD Amelie caught them in the 'act' and she kicked him out of the house. After some slapping, shoving and such. Kris moved in with Rachel and they are planning a wedding.
Amelie is currently dating Daniel Overgaard, a danish police officer. >_> Daniel is considering to propose her.

Estheim:
Daerren lived alone, until his boyfriend Caleb moved in. They got engaged and eventually married. They are happy, but both of them hate Kris.

Haruno:
Hikaru is a single mother of young female genin Sakura. >_> Sakura is so in love with Sasuke and Sasuke is a bastard. Period.

Hatake:
Kakashi is in relationship with Amaya. And they are foster parents of Naruto. Naruto is just overjoyed about that. He has a crush on Hinata.

Hyokari:
Yukito is young japanese emperor. His brother Takeru moved out of the castle and lives practically across the street with his fiancee Rikku. Yukito has a personal maid Aiko. He secretly loves her, but refuses to tell her. And vice versa.

Inuzuka:
Kazuya and his wife Tsume have a lovely son Kiba. Kiba loves Ino, but Ino has a girly crush on Sasuke. However...Ino secretly wants to be with Kiba. :D

Livestrong:
Carolyn is a single mother of a little boy named Snow. Her husband died in the accident and she lives in old farm cottage. After some time, she met a widowed man named Matthew Crow and they are much in love. They are planning a wedding and he likes her adorable son.

Luksson: (I hate them and I'll purge them)
Kristen has a sister Valeria. Valeria is in love with Sebastian. Sebastian's sister Laura is in lesbian relationship with Kristen. They are so annoying. -.-

Namikaze:
Minato is married with Kushina and they want their son back, but Naruto prefers to stay with Kakashi instead. >_>

Uchiha:
Itachi lives with his little brother Sasuke. They are always arguing, fighting and Itachi tends to be the boss. Sasuke doesn't like it and cries in his room instead. >_>

I have 12 households at present in my BACC, which is the only neighborhood I've been playing since last June or July.

Adams:

Paul, an Elder Male. Virgo Knowledge sim, Romance secondary. Chess fiend. His son is Douglas, a lawyer (pretty successful one, too; currently at level 9, I think). A Cancer, who is Popularity/Knowledge. He likes chess but doesn't like to start the game. Oh yes, and he's a werewolf. Dreams of becoming a Journalist. His wife, Helen, is an adult plantsim. She's a Taurus, and Popularity/Fortune. The other chess fiend in the house. She often plays all night. I have their sunlamp right over the chess board.

They have two children, Colin, a future werewolf (and he's messy enough to be one), and Daisy, a future plantsim.

Burnside:

Ellen, our founder, who dreams of becoming Mayor. She is a Taurus, in politics, and currently a congresswoman. (She's Popularity/Family.) Her husband is Arthur, who runs Burnside's Junk Shop. He's a Leo Fortune sim, with a Popularity secondary. They have three daughters, teens Caroline (Capricorn/Popularity/Family) and Grace (Cancer/Knowledge/Fortune), and little Virgina, who is still a child. She's a Gemini. They hold open house on Ellen's days off as a usual rule.

Coleman:

Anna, an elder Libra/Knowlege/Fortune sim, who owns Anna's Pots 'n' Things and Coleman's Greengrocers. (She has a gold badge in pottery.) Her son is named Mark, and he's an attorney, though not as successful as Douglas Adams. (He's Sagittarius/Family/Pleasure.) His wife is Eleanor, a grumpy witch. She got a job as a dancer recently, as it is her LTW (and the career is now open). They also have three daughters, teens Juliet (Sagittarius/Knowledge/Popularity) and Anne (Sagittarius/Knowledge/Family; they are not clones, as their distributions are different), and Lark, who is still a child. She's an Aries, and is the resident neat freak (She has 10 points in everything except niceness. She has NO nice points, but is less grumpy than her mother.). Lark's hobbies are cleaning and sports. Juliet is a witch, like her mother. Anne will inherit the pottery shop from her grandmother, as her OTH is arts & crafts, and Juliet the grocery.

Denton 1

Edward's a werewitch, and owns The Craft Shop, which sells witch goods and sewn goods. He's an enthusiastic witch, and his hobby is arts and crafts. (He is Libra/Knowledge/Grilled Cheese). His wife, Lucy (Pisces/Knowledge/Fortune) is also a werewitch, and the town's resident mechanical genius. They have three sons, all still children: twins Clark and Gregory (both Geminis, different point distributions), and Adrian (Sagittarius). Clark and Adrian are future witches, and Gregory a future werewolf. Edward is more cheerful now that there are three other GC-secondary sims in town, so he has someone to discuss Grilled Cheese with.

Easton 1

Benjamin (Aquarius/Knowledge/Pleasure) runs the local bar, The End of the World (and with about 5 more customer stars it'll be Level 10 and I'll have a business slot open). His wife, Karen, is Pisces/Knowledge/Fortune, and they have four children; one daughter, Katherine (now a teen, but I forget her stats), and three younger sons, Peter, Sean, and Gabriel. Katherine and two of the boys are Sagittarius, and Gabriel's a Virgo.

Denton 2

Edwin (Scorpio/Family/Popularity) is Edward's brother, and also a witch. He is even grumpier than his sister, Eleanor Coleman, and started most of the fights which opened Law positions. He's the local policeman on the beat, and a sports fanatic. His wife, Edith (Pisces/Fortune/Popularity) is a fishing freak, as she wants to become an oceanographer, and that's the only way that's happening. (I have harder badges. This may take a while. Keep fishing, Edith!) They have three sons, Henry, Jasper, and Felix, all Aries, and two of them are future witches.

Easton 2:

Luke (Aquarius/Fortune/Popularity) is the local college professor (though I don't have a college), and Benjamin's brother. He married a townie, Aline (Pisces/Knowledge/Popularity), and they have two children, Sandra (yet another Sagittarius) and Christopher (Capricorn). Sandra got her father's huge nose, and Christopher his mother's small eyes and nose; can't wait to see what they look like when they're older (they are both children).

Fisher:

Miles (Aquarius/Knowledge/Fortune) is a musician, although it is his wife, Celeste (Leo/Knowledge/Family) who is the music fanatic. They have two children, teen Thomas (Scorpio/Popularity/Pleasure), and child Miranda (Libra). Celeste and Thomas both have some alien features.

The Dinglewood Ashram:

Founded by Shaggy (Aquarius/Romance/Grilled Cheese) and Sunshine (Taurus/Popularity/Grilled Cheese) Rodgers. His steady girlfriend, Mary Allen (Sagittarius/Knowledge/Grilled Cheese), moved in, and she and Shaggy have a son, Justice Allen. Sunshine has a son by a townie, Ziggy Rogers, who is about six hours older than Justice. My favorite household. They are all laid-back nature fanatics, and make their living from organic farming, money trees (in a stand-in role), and The Hippie Hop Coffee Shop (where the locals go to giggle and blow bubbles).

Gold:

Tyson (Sagittarius/Fortune/Popularity), a part-alien, and his wife, Sharon (Sagittarius/Knowldge/Fortune), run the local gym. (They are smustle addicts. This looks remarkably like aerobics class.) He's also a dancer. She's expecting their first child.

Hart:

Owen (Virgo/Popularity/Family) is a plantsim, and also a journalist. He's obsessed with his chessboard and his fish tank.

Ingalls:

Elder Marianne (Libra/Fortune/Knowledge) dreams of owning five successful businesses. Her first will be a bakery, I think, as her daughter, Victoria (Aries/Pleasure/Family) has the most cooking points in town (7 or 8, I think). Victoria's a dancer at present. Her son, Carl (Cancer/Pleasure/Romance) is a teen, and also a werewolf.

As yet I do not have a downtown, university, business district, or vacation locales. Gotta earn 'em!

My new neighbourhood Leeton is on year 7. The first borns are now children and all the oldest adults are coming up to 30 soon, which means families without children (only two of them) need to start thinking about kids.

The Quinn Family:
Leo Quinn (Pleasure) owns the local Robotics shop, called "Robotosaur". His wife Lorna Quinn (Knowledge) is a home maker, although they don't have children yet. Lorna is the first and only person so far to achieve her Lifetime Want of maxing all 7 skills and become Perma-Plat. The newest edition to their family is a Servo named "Prototype" as he was the first Servo to be activated. Prototype was taught to make other servos and now spends most of his time making stock for the store.

The Loe Family:
Paul Loe (Romance) bought a community lot and intends it to become a Formal Clothing store, but has yet to open it. His wife Jenna Loe (Family) is a taylor and was in the process of making the clothes to sell, but once baby Robin arrived, they had to sell the sewing machine to buy a crib. Now they are only getting by from selling the vegetables in Paul's small patch in the garden. Jenna Did have a job at Cole's Flowers but when Hank Cole sold the business she had to leave. Robotosaur has an opening but she'll be competing with her ex work mate for the job. I mentioned their only child, daughter Robin Loe who is a child right now. She's very smart and learns things very easily. The last two to join the family are two Large Dogs, boy Duke and girl Prinny, who are currently expecting pups.

The Cole Family:
Hank Cole (Pleasure) Did own a flower shop, but when it wasn't making enough money he decided to sell up. His wife Philis Cole (Knowledge) works at Robotosaur, but doesn't do much else. Philis doesn't know if she wants kids at all but knows she'll probably regret it if she doesn't, and she's running out of time. Hank and Philis are the most passionate of all the couples in Leeton by far. They constantly go on dates and woohoo all the time. This might be a problem because the mayor has put a ban on all contraception until the population grows, so they've not been as intimate, because as stated, Philis is still making up her mind.

The Chase Family:
Aiden Chase (Romance) is a good father, and he also works at Robotosaur. On top of that, he has a huge gardening plot, 6X6, in his garden that he's always tending to. The Chase Family found like very hard at the beginning and at one point were sharing one crib between 2 newborns and a toddler because they couldn't afford another! But once the first yield came in, they were fine. His wife Natasha Chase (Family) is baby crazy! She just loves having children and has been very lucky so far. Her first pregnancy gave her a son, Elliot Chase, who is now a child. Her second pregnancy gave her natural twins, a boy, Howard Chase and a girl, Denise Chase who are toddlers now. Her third and final pregnancy (to date, she's only 28 atm!) gave her ANOTHER SET of NATURAL twins!! Also another mixed gender set, girl Genine Chase and boy Marcus Chase, who are still newborns.

This may take a while... ...though since my neighbourhood's had no new Sims in it since I last repopulated it, and I made a paper list of who needed to be in the re-population, this task is for once plausible for me. Taking the families of SimHampton, and ignoring pets (and warning that it's a pretty long list):

Aspir - Pauline lives with Brian Aspir-Formiga and Lenore Aspir-Formiga in a converted barn in south SimHampton. Two of her children, Ra and Anna, are acolytes in the local monastery.

Aspir-Chee - A line branching from the Aspir family that nobody outside it will admit exists. Elizabeth lives alone in east SimHampton.

Aspir-Formiga - Another line branching from the Aspir family tree. Lenore and son Brian live with Pauline Aspir in a converted barn in south SimHampton.

Lenore's other children, twins Ishneet and Ishmeet, are acolytes in the local monastery. Uncle Luis (who is the point at which the Aspir and Aspir-Formiga lines separate) is a Cleric-Brother at the same monastery.

Barratt - Ethan is married to Holly Shin, who kept her name after the wedding. They live in a small house in west SimHampton with Ghanima Logarint, Rashida-Labana Logarint, Rashido-Labano Logarint and Sanjay Ramaswani.

Beaker - Circe lives at her lab with Nina Caliente, Imane Caliente and Castor Bell.

Bell - Castor is currently a test subject at Beaker Labs Inc., hoping to be cured of a serious illness. His great-aunt Starla is in prison for improper use of power while working as a senior politician.

Bradshaw - Scott is a member of the Planning Council.

Bruty - Sandy, the sole known member of the family, is the newest member of the Planning Council, having previously been a TV dance star.

Burb - Elizabeth, mother of Jennifer, who in turn is mother of Kimberley (a fiery red-head who tends to dress in tartan), Haf and Otto (black-haired twins; Haf is the sociable one and Otto the family intellectual). They all live together in central SimHampton.

Her aunt Lucy, and cousin Blake, are currently live-in servants at the Hick household.

Caliente - Nina and daugher Imane live at Beaker Labs Inc. with Circe Beaker and Castor Bell.

Capp - Samantha lives with daughter Jeannie in a dorm at SimHampton University (forgotten which one). Long story. Sons Hal and Tybalt live in the fraternity, while Desdemona lives in Dynasty Dorms.

Cheo - Rumoured offshoot of the Chii family, though nobody has ever confirmed or ruled out the possibility. Boeb is second-in-command at SimHampton SpacePort, working with Cynthia Gwyn and Amica Saerin.

Chii - An offshoot of the Jones family. Celiné is a member of the Planning Council, and the BaneForce's espionage agent there. Her sister, Mission, is a Valgon living in Nehankori Enclave, with children (Cilegia and Circolo) that she formally adopted from Celiné.

Cormier - Ricky is a member of the Planning Council. No relation to Rick Contrary despite the similarity of names.

Gavigan - PC Mary Gavigan runs SimHampton Prison and also looks after her son Isiah. Her husband Nathan is recovering from illness in a small house next door.

Gibson - The only member of the family known so far is David. He's in SimHampton Prison for murdering Natasha Una.

Goodie - Faith lives alone in west SimHampton. Husband Herbert is a live-in servant at the Picaso household, while daughter, Deborah "Debz", is learning how to use magic from Joleane Sunrina in her house.

Green - Gabriel lives with Jane Stacks in a farm in central SimHampton.

Gwyn - Cynthia Gwyn currently lives and works at SimHampton SpacePort with Boeb Cheo and Amica Saerin. Father Afra is an inmate at the Nehankori Asylum.

Hick - Nathan and daughter Rebecca live in central SimHampton. Son Dustin lives at SimHampton University's fraternity. Mother Mama and aunt Aghminien are the Planner for Finance and Chief Planner of the Planning Council respectively.

Jones - Junior Princess Jones (first name Emmy) is deputising for the ill High Princess Monty I. The true power behind the throne is her father, Kell/SimBane. His ex-wife Sivafel and prospective future wife Nerys Turner-Jones live with them, in a huge castle in north-west SimHampton, across the river from everyone else. Emmy's aunt, Celiné Chii, is a senior politician in the Planning Council.

Lillard - The only known member of the family, Brandon, is a kilt-wearing member of the Planning Council.

Logarint - Ghanima, daughter Rashida-Labana "Lab" and grandson Rashido-Labano live in a small creaky two-up, two-down house in west SimHampton with Ethan Barratt, Holly Shin and Sanjay Ramaswani. They tend to trip over each other every time they move.

Maguire - Kirsten lives alone in central SimHampton, wondering when her friend Samantha will grow up again and join her in some more adventures.

Maleficent - Banestoy is the manager of the local retirement home, which currently houses Katy Thorne and is also staffed by Romeo and Beforril/BaneLeader Monty. Name not particularly indicative of her nature.

Monty - This is one of the bigger, more complicated families. The theoretical head of the household is High Princess Monty I (first name Bianca), but she is currently ill, confined to a room on the upper floor of the Monty's castle. The castle is situated in east SimHampton, far from other Sims' houses. Her mother Isabella is the family touchstone, her excellent cooking bringing together children with very different loyalties. Younger daughter Bianca would also live there, but she is currently serving time in prison for conspiring against the rightful ruler of SimHampton (i.e. her own sister).

Oldest son Romeo, and his rumoured-pregnant wife Beforril/BaneLeader (second-in-command of the evil BaneForce) live at, and work in, a retirement home in west SimHampton. Romeo knows BaneLeader's loyalties, but has so far been unsuccessful in convincing her to become good. They live with Banestoy Maleficent and Katy Thorne.

Younger son Mercutio is at university, sharing Dynasty Dorms with Desdemona Capp and Rick Contrary.

Newson - Siblings Garrett, Ginger, Gabriella, Georgia and Gallagher live in a wonderful big two-storey house in west SimHampton. Their brother Gavin lives in the SimHampton University fraternity.

Nigmos - An offshoot of the Smith family. Urbani and Johnny are both children of Pollination Tech #9 and Jenny Smith, and each is the head of a household. Urbani (long black hair, tends to wear exercise gear all the time, pretty stupid) lives in south SimHampton with toddler daughter Tehrha.

Johnny lives in the foreigner's section of the Nehankori Enclave with younger siblings Pollijake Smith, Pollihenri Smith and the older Martha Smith (the younger Martha Smith died during the last cyberstorm), all of whom are teenagers.

Ophelia Nigmos is hidden in a secret area of the Nehankori Enclave. She lives alone.

Pedersen - Bella is currently in prison for starting a riot. Her husband John and son Najib are missing, though vague reports indicate they're alive... ...somewhere.

Picaso - Twins Elandrae and Elandré live at their hairdressing studio in north SimHampton, with servant Herbert Goodie.

Pleasant - The only surviving Pleasant is Mary-Sue. The fact she was in prison for the relatively minor crime of starting a riot may have saved her life, because the rest of the family was in Alegnia Viaduct's monastery when the entire town was destroyed in a cyberstorm.

Ramaswani - Priya lives alone in a pretty house in central SimHampton. Her husband Sanjay is a live-in servant at the Logarint household.

Roseland - Cyd lives alone in a house in west SimHampton. He's still fanatical about training dogs.

Saerin - Amica is the leader of SimHampton Spaceport, living and working with Cynthia Gwyn and Boeb Cheo.

Shin - Holly lives with husband Ethan Barratt (who kept his name post-marriage). They share a small house with Ghanima Logarint, Rashida-Labana "Lab" Logarint, Rashido-Labano Logarint and Sanjoy Ramaswani.

Smith - Sadly a shadow of its former self. Ignoring Sims in the Nigmos branch of the family, Jill is the most senior member of the family. She is in the Planning Council.

Her sister Jenny-Jersey lives alone in east SimHampton. Brother River lives in the foreigner's section of Nehankori Enclave with Paul Corsillo and Payton Wade.

Stacks - Jane is seriously ill and is currently confined to a tent. She lives with Gabriel Green on a farm in central SimHampton.

Summerdream - Titania and distant relative Placeholder (yes, he really is called that) run the SimHampton Elven Educatory, in a secluded meadow in east SimHampton. Among their students are Titania's daughters Amy and Melissa, and son Eamonn.

Titania's husband Oberon, along with son Olli, are live-in servants at the Monty castle. Titania and Oberon's daughter, Bottom, is an acolyte at the local monastery.

Sunrina - The sole remaining signatory to the SimHampton Independence Grant, Joleane Sunrina, lives with Koaxis Velduz, Deborah "Debz" Goodie, in a grand old house in west SimHampton, overlooking the river.

Thorne - Katy was a gypsy and now lives in a comfy retirement home. Living with her are staff members Banestoy Maleficent, Romeo Monty and Beforril/BaneLeader Monty.

Velduz - Koaxis, the oldest elf in SimHampton, lives with Joleane Sunrina, and Deborah "Debz" Goodie, in an old house in west SimHampton.

Ya-Telehixia - Zatreia lives alone in a pink house in central SimHampton.

Ying - Taylor and sons Scott Jr. and Ralp live in south SimHampton.

Liebermeister - businessman Noah, aspiring dancer Rose, and their kids Aaron and Annie.
Minami - Youko and her five cats. She has a business where people come and pay to hang out with cats. It isn't working too well yet.
O'Toole - crap, I forgot their first names. D: They're an elder couple, and he's a romance sim. Waiting for him to hit on some chick in front of his wife.
Percival - Persephone the witch, her husband Darcy, and their granddaughter Briar.
Roseland - nobody suspects that the cute guy in the big house with the little dog is actually a criminal.

Poor side of town:

Arthur - Peggy ran off from who knows where to settle in a quiet town and raise her kids. Baby Violet is half alien (thanks PT Carina, she's gorgeous) and big sis Lily has been super helpful.
Jensen - Sam and Hattie are growing old together and have no family, and need a dog or something. Maybe a lot of dogs.
Jones - Kenya is a hairdresser and is trying to make her dumpy frumpy little cottage look a little more big-city-salon.
Ottomas - Dora quit her job to help take care of the grandkids. Samantha may do the same. Peter's income is just fine to take care of them plus David, Sharla, Tommy, and little Dolly and Elvis. David is going to overachieve and go to university soon, and free up a room in their tiny old farmhouse.

College:

Gardner - sisters Ginger (drama major) and Emmy (math major).

My dear god...Anyways....a little story about the family.
Kris Fouler was married with Amelie Lavitzon. He had cheated on her with a rich woman named Rachel Evilner.
Naturally, Amelie found out about the affair and kicked him out of the house. >_> Kris moved in with Rachel and after awhile, he married her.

Kris is having an affair with his co-worker Quincy A(something.) Rachel doesn't know about it. She is going to be busy, as she gave birth to twin boys. >_> I wonder what will happen in the future. I just adore making such dramatic outcomes. Kris is by definition an asshole and bisexual. *shrugs* Go figure out.

I've just created a new family called the Kings. It consists of: An adult male: Mason and an adult female Ghana.
They met at a wedding and Ghana caught the bouquet and they started dating soon after that. 3 years after, they met the got married.
They also have a cat called Jamie.

Big Curious family is big. Spoiler for the large image ahead.




Sims with only one bio parent on the tree (Lola Curious, Chloe Curious, Perseus Curious, Kepler Curious) were the result of alien abductions. Silly me forgot to take into account that P.T. is the father of Lola and Chloe, but it would have probably confused FamilyEcho beyond repair. And if some of the names look familiar to another premade family, the Smiths just adopted the whole Newson clan. That's why.

Wow an old thread been resurrected. Ok, families I play with in Veronaville (none of them Maxi defaults:
Lillard (who live in the modified Capp manor): Peter (9th generation) and wife Sarah (and I've forgotten what they do - I think she's a ballroom dancer) who have two daughters and a son. Eldest daughter has just graduated and moved to a house which hadn't been occupied for Sim centuries.
Mansard: Serena and her twin sister, Cecilia, now elders, live with their husbands. Serena and her husband Paul had a daughter who died at university. Cecilia and Phil (King)'s daughter has just graduated and is engaged to the vain son of an arrogant businessman in Bluewater village. They also have a young son, aged about 11.
Arends: Kevin is one of two surviving sons in a family of six. He's married to Peter Lillard's sister, Alexandra. His son, Sam, is married and has a baby boy.
Mazza: Alexa (who is the illegitimate half sister of Peter and Alexandra) is married to townie, Houston Mazza. She has just given birth to a boy.
Arends: Kevin's nephew, Ronnie, is married to townie, Lora Cox, who is pregnant. They live next door to:
Arends: Kevin's brother Ray and his wife, Lucy, who have about six kids. They raised Ronnie who was an orphan. Ray's daughter by his first marriage has just got married and Lucy's daughter by her first marriage is engaged.
Stoyanov: Gregor and his wife have two girls, one of whom is scary-looking.
DeMarr: The vampire family (of 10 generations) consisting of Vlad, the vampire, his wife and two sons. Wife (can't recall her name!) is the mayor. Eldest son is about to go to university. Vlad is a mad scientist which suits his night life.
Mountebank: Widow, Siobhan, was married to the son of THE mountebank (who fathered about six illegitimate kids in the neighbourhood). Her only son is married to a woman who gave birth to twins and wants to be a lawyer but cannot find a job opening. Siobhan is the city planner.
Idler: ageing prostitute, Ellie-May, now lives alone after her live-in friend, Helen, died. She keeps in touch with illegitimate daughter who is at uni.
Monty: distantly related to THE Monty family. Connie and her wife have just separated after Connie found out that her wife was having an affair with a man and fell pregnant.
Perez: Manuel is married to Toni Monty (relation of above) and they have twin teenage sons. Toni breeds dogs so the house is always pretty chaotic.
Champagne: Jax and Genesis (a townie) have a son and daughter, Max and Jenny. Max is a teenager and Jenny just grew to school age.
Champignon: An offshoot of the main Champignon family. James is an icon, married to visionary, Karla. They have two sons. The eldest, Patric, is at university.
McCullough: Forgettable family (I've forgotten their names!). The wife was an Arends. They have about four daughters with names like Phoebe and Poppy.
Monty: The estranged wife of Connie above, Amora lives alone with her new baby (who is the illegitimate daughter of Ray Arends).
Champignon: The main (and richest) family (9 generations), of Sebastien (rock god) and wife, Claire. They have six kids total, the eldest, Xavier, at university. The rest are a boy and four girls ranging in age from teenager to toddler.
There are a couple of other minor families whose names escape me! Then there are associated families living in Bluewater village.

Currently there are 10 households in my bacc. As of at this moment for me (my tumblr is a tad behind!) they are like this:

Flores-Wilchester: This household has the elder mayor Diego Flores his two daughters adult Cecilia Flores and teen Marisa Flores, to his ex-wife, Anya, his toddler almost child granddaughter Erlene (Cecilia's daughter, the father is a townie named Forrest) and youngest daughter Cindy Wilchester, who is days away from being a teen, to his live in girlfriend also elder Sandra Wilchester. Sandra works in the culinary career, and is due to retire, but also owns her own restraunt that she runs. Diego also has adult alien son Elonso, who is a day younger than Cecilia and has moved out.

Burris-Flores: Noah Burris lives with Diego's alien abducted son Elonso Flores, who is currently well into pregnancy with their child/children (who was a slight surprise adulthood birthday gift for me at least. They tried for it though. Ah ACR, how lovely you are.) They've been quite happily dating since they were teenagers. Elonso's currently writing a lot of novels, and is planning a business in the future. Noah works at another resident's flower shop.

Linscott-Webb-Flores: Diego's elder ex-wife and good witch Anya, divorced him for cheating on her since she was pregnant with Marisa, with her best friend and hiding he had daughter Cindy. Then she moved in here with her new younger adult boyfriend, Dean Webb and his just turned teenage son, Keith Linscott. Keith is named after his mother, Rylie Linscott, who haunts the house as a ghost (who passed away young from a ROS event/disease.) Dean inherited both Rylie's businesses, but sold them and moved into the culinary career. Keith is attempting to find a part-time job in the game career currently.

Topaz-Opal: The always poor policeman Raven Topaz lives with his fiancee Tia Opal and their toddler daughter together, Teal Topaz. His almost adult daughter Olivia Topaz also lives there and is the daughter of his cheating ex-girlfriend Rylie, from the previous household. Originally she was Olivia Linscott but changed her last name to her dad's as he raised her alone and is grateful of him raising her all alone.

Burris: This house has Noah's elder married parents Joanne and Niel Burris, with his two younger brothers, teen Joel and child Javan. Both Niel and Joanne and business owners, whilst Joel is happily in a part-time job in the Culinary career. They're usually in lower class or poor status depending on how business booms.

Hallowell: This originally eloped now long term married couple, adult Zandra and elder Osborne Hallowell live with their only daughter together teenager April and younger child Talithia, Osborne's alien abducted daughter. Osborne runs a successful flower shop (which Noah works at) whilst Zandra picks up her chair and gives people random makeovers outside their house. April is currently dating Joel of the Burris house.

Wilburn: Another pretty long term married couple, this time mean witch Belle, who is currently in the education career, and Mason, who assists Diego in the politics career, with their two toddler sons, Gale and Travis. Belle is now infertile (thanks to ROS) which means no more biological kids for these two.

Chadwick-Carli: This has shotgun married but now long term married couple Fiona and Mike Chadwick who have teen quads Shelia, Mable, Gwen, and Daniel. They also have live in roommate werewolf Terence Carli, who is currently pregnant with an alien child and works in the Science career. Fiona works at Sandra's restraunt.

Hitchworth: Just out of newly married status, Tim and Pearl Hitchworth live with their only son and newborn, Brock. They aren't likely to have any more children as they really struggled to have Brock after a miscarriage and struggling to conceive, plus Tim just started working in the Oceanography career, whilst Pearl is in the Law. Pearl also has a pottery business in the making too.

Ashby-Niles-Blackmoore: This has newer residents on a campsite waiting for houses to be built. It has Everett Niles and his new wife, Audrey Niles. Everett's ex-girlfriend Hannah Ashby and her new crush, Charlotte Blackmoore also live there too.

Oh, let's see here. They're all of the same family, but the curent households are:
-The Oldie house, where all Neighbours go when their time is due, to just chill out and hang with each other. Right now it's Beat Neighbour, his recently deceased twin brother's widow Sahara Neighbour, their sister Pepper Harrison, her husband Roxell Harrison and Nike Neighbour, the oldest of generation two, who just became an elder and moved in with them. Beat is a criminal mastermind, Pepper is a spy, Roxell is a businessman and Nike is a cop.
-Eleventh love and Love thy Neighbour. Eleventh love is a protector of whales. His daughter Love thy is currently unemployed.
-Storm Neighbour is Eleventh love's other daugter. She works as a spy and also owns a bar.
-Caligari Neighbour is Eleventh love's son. He lives with his girlfriends Ace and Lady Sulsul and their friend Sunrise and their respective teenage kids: Godspeed (Caligari and Lady), Champagne (Caligari and Ace), Violin and Piel-Divina (Sunrise).
-Mess and Marta Neighbour. Mess is a retired ambulance driver, Marta left her job as a waitress and is now working at Storm's bar.
-Stardust, Mess' and Marta's daughter. She was fired from her job as a cement mixer and joined the military.
-Rambo Neighbour, cop, his girlfriend Sofie Melinder, businesswoman, Palahniuk Melinder and Picasso Melinder, their teenage sons. Rambo's sister Everest Neighbour who works in a store and is dating The Diva.
-Twelfth love Neighbour, football legend. Has a relationship with a Putte Mattsson.
-Crown and Crab Neighbour: twins and dynamic duo. Crown is an architect and Crab is a juggler.
-Ducky Neighbour, dancer, and her girlfriend, Kaylynn Langerak, who is currently unemployed but will be working as a chef in her best friend Storm Neighbour's bar.
-Trigger Neighbour, who makes money from restoring and selling cars, and her adult daughter Roadnight Neighbour.
-Solito Neighbour, who makes money from sewing and spends most of his time charming men.
-Buddha Hovlund, painter, and his husband Brake Hovlund, professional party guest. Buddha is Ducky, Rambo, Everest and Solito's brother.
-Kennedy Neighbour who owns a store where she sells her paintings, flowers and pottery. Nike's sister.
-Sigma, Phoenix, New York and Baywatch Neighbour. Sigma and Phoenix are brothers, Baywatch and New York are their cousins. New York is the brother of Nike and Kennedy. I think Baywatch is the only one who has a job at the moment, working in the business career track like his late mother Melissa.
-Nessie, Andromeda and Zelda Larsen, Jaws, Espresso and Modesty Neighbour. Nessie and Jaws are cousins and make a dynamic quartet with their respective kids, Andromeda and Nessie, who are also siblings since both Nessie and Jaws got impregnated with The Diva (let's just call it science), whom Jaws has a thing with. Nessie is also Beat's son and basically Phoenix and Sigma's brother (they all grew up in the same house), Jaws is Baywatch's sister. Zelda is Andromeda's and Patrick Teens' kid, Modesty is Espresso's daughter. No one has a job, although Jaws and Nessie once spent a day being pickpockets, got a bonus each and quit their job.
-Opal Larsen, Justice Larsen, Asta something, Chicuitita, Enrique an Muffin Neighbour. Opal is Beat's ex-wife, and Nessie's and Justice's mother. Justice's father is Sigma. Enrique is an architect, him and Chicuitita are servos and were built by late Emo Neighbour. Muffin is their daughter, and she is crushing on Champagne Neighbour.

But this thread amused me. Since i have reset/deleted so many hoods since the first year this thread started, I would have the mother of teal deer posts here if I listed them now! And I'm no stranger to teal deer posts!

I just limited myself to one neighbourhood, current occupants. I'm not familiar with the term "teal deer".
