Another quick update. Nikoli has mastered painting and has many portraits of his lady. Like Lop, I am not going to make her a vampire just yet. It will make the challenge more "Challenging". They also have one child WHO WAS THE HEIR! Called Vladimir they are also married. (I always get boys when I don't use the cheat but being a vampire as well was just lucky).

OMG this is fun, my sim just had her third child I kept her human for 2 reasons, 1 he can't drink off another vampire, can he? 2 it would be more challenging to get an heir. her first was a human boy, second was a vampire girl, third was an heir! YAY

I'm going to change it a bit later so she does stay human, thanks for you're awesome feedback!!!

I really don't have any tips, play as you like but stick to the main set of rules I have set above. Other than that you may do as you please with your family.

I did this challenge. I did make some differences... The first thing I did was I put it in Hidden Springs. Firstly because I desire the modernness and prettiness of the World and it would make the family seem more scum if they're in a rich world and is poor. I didn't give the girl the 'perfect' trails you made her. Due to the fact I found them not quite matched her childhood. But Friendly and Virtuoso are still used. I have no idea how to put photos on this site. The threads I tried to use told me to do something it didn't give me the choice to do.

The parents are these two: http://s1301.photobucket.com/user/A...fddbec.jpg.html

Mother's Traits (Marta Dyson): Dislikes Children, Mean Spirited, Commitment Issues, Dramatic, and Natural Cook.

Father's Traits (Mike Dyson): Mean Spirited, Dislikes Children, Evil, Kleptomaniac, and Supernatural Skeptic.

The girl (Domina Dyson): http://s1301.photobucket.com/user/A...0.jpg.html?o=41

I made the father work at the bookstore and nurse the garden: http://s1301.photobucket.com/user/A...523fb1.jpg.html

Marta took care of Domina: http://s1301.photobucket.com/user/A...9.jpg.html?o=43

So she aged up. Due to her not learning how to walk properly because her mother didn't care for her I gave her the 'Clumsy' trait. Her childhood was terrible. Her parents would randomly yell at her (I actually mean it, they would do it without me telling them too) : http://s1301.photobucket.com/user/A...7.jpg.html?o=34

Domina (Child): http://s1301.photobucket.com/user/A...2.jpg.html?o=30

When she became a teenager, she had always been mentally abused, so I gave her the 'Socially Awkward' trait. Domina (Teen): http://s1301.photobucket.com/user/A...a.jpg.html?o=31

So part two: Nickolas has the traits of Good, Genius, Family Oriented, Charismatic, and Proper.

We know how this plays out: Nickolas angry: http://s1301.photobucket.com/user/A...c.jpg.html?o=29

Mother begs: http://s1301.photobucket.com/user/A...a.jpg.html?o=21

Nickolas suggests taking Domina, she gave him her: http://s1301.photobucket.com/user/A...e.jpg.html?o=28

She gets all dressy and she masters Piano and Bass: http://s1301.photobucket.com/user/A...8.jpg.html?o=25

She got twins! One male (Vampire) and female (Human)!: http://s1301.photobucket.com/user/A...a.jpg.html?o=18

http://s1301.photobucket.com/user/A...0.jpg.html?o=17

They became toddlers, blah, blah: http://s1301.photobucket.com/user/A...4.jpg.html?o=12

Children: http://s1301.photobucket.com/user/A...5a.jpg.html?o=3

Domina became an young adult. So Nickolas turned her: http://s1301.photobucket.com/user/A...67.jpg.html?o=7

Then purposed: http://s1301.photobucket.com/user/A...46.jpg.html?o=5

Happy family, and now getting married and is preggo: http://s1301.photobucket.com/user/A...34cf96.jpg.html

I decided to give this a whirl because it can be completed within one or two generations. My game tends to bork itself after a few in-game weeks, so I pretty much only play short challenges. I'm having fun with it, so far!

Once upon a time, there was a little cottage at the edge of a little village owned by a cruel and distant lord. The little family that lived in the little cottage were farmers, tending the stony soil and growing vegetables for their lord.

The family that lived in the little cottage consisted of a mother, father, and young daughter. The girl was called Temperance, and though she was too young to be a help in her family's fields, she passed her days at the edge of the field, within sight of her mother and father. She was a bright, eager child, possessed of a keen wit, and quickly taught herself to read. She enjoyed the solitude of those sun-warmed days, and for many years, her whole world would begin and end with her family's farms.

Her mother, Eleanor, had once been a beauty, but hours of hard labor under the harsh sun had bent her back and weathered her skin. She was not a cruel woman, but her hard life had left her with little love for her bright-eyed daughter.

Temperance's father was a harsh man named Johann, a rake and a roustabout. Though the small farm had been handed down in his family, father-to-son, for many generations, he cared little for the land. He left his fields to his wife and idled his days away at the little town's little tavern, where he drank and diced away all his wife's hard-earned profits.

Years of back-breaking labor had soured the love between Johann and Eleanor, and they fought frequently and bitterly, their shouts echoing over the fields. Eleanor was left to her own devices, forgotten in the heat of their arguments.

Although life was hard and her parents unforgiving and deeply unhappy, Temperance would recall those idyllic days fondly in the tempestuous years to come...

(Fingers crossed my game doesn't shit itself and I can come back to this save file, take more pictures, and continue the story!)

(My game is cooperating with me, it's a Christmas miracle!)

Temperance grew into a child. Still too young to aid her parents in the field, Johann tasked her with the care of the family's cottage. Her days were filled with chores, work too hard for a girl of her tender age.

Eleanor and Johann fought constantly, sometimes coming to blows, heedless of their young daughter.

Temperance tried to ignore their arguments, quietly completing her chores and trying to remain small and unnoticed.

Some days, she woke before dawn and slipped from their cottage, not caring about the punishments she would endure for her disobedience. The local church, a mile down the hard packed dirt road, became her refuge.

On those mornings, she snuck into the parson's office and pulled books from his shelf. Through the stolen books, she sailed to distant shores, traversed strange forests with magical beasts, and explored deserts on camel-back, laden with exotic spice. She learned of a world beyond her father's farm, a world full of potential for a bright young girl, bound and determined to escape the life she had been born into.

One morning, as she made her way through the churchyard towards the parson's office, she encountered a dark-haired young girl with strange, silvery eyes. Pink flowers grew in her hair and shining insect wings protruded from her shoulder blades. Her name was Tiff and she was one of the fae, a fairy from the Pale Kingdom, just like those in Temperance's books. They became fast friends, laughing and playing amid the headstones.

"Someday," Tiff said, her voice as musical as a bell, "When I'm older, I can grant your wishes or take you with me to the Pale Kingdom, away from this town. Until then, you have to be brave."

Temperance said nothing in reply, but she knew that she had been born to bravery.

Bonus picture of Temperance in CAS!

You're welcome! I'm having fun playing the challenge, so I thought I might as well share. Shorter update this time!

As Temperance grew from a child to a young woman, her father grew more strict with her. He imposed ever more restrictions on her behavior and dress, locking her inside their small, damp root cellar whenever she displeased him. Despite her intelligence and steel resolve, Temperance was small and frail from years of malnourishment and neglect, and had little hope of besting her father physically.

However, her father's anger could not quell her rebellious nature, and she still snuck away to her beloved graveyard whenever the opportunity presented itself. She no longer saw her fairy friend among the tombstones, and she began to wonder whether she, in her loneliness, had imagined her.

After many long years of back-breaking work, her mother's health had begun to fail, and the task of running their small farm fell to Temperance. And though Temperance had inherited her mother's dark eyes and steely resolve, she had not inherited her business sense or her knack for nurturing plantlife. The crops, choked by weeds and drowned by heavy rainfall, began to die, and the farm's profits dwindled to nothing.

Johann spent his evenings at the tavern, drinking away the scant money earned by Temperance's labors. The drink loosened his tongue, and he often complained about his daughter. "Look at me," he slurred, leaning heavily on the bar, a drink clutched in one fist. "No sons, just a useless daughter. She's too soft for real work, and no man wants to marry a girl who cares so much for books. It's not natural!" He emptied his glass. "She's pretty, but without a dowry, she'll never marry. I'll die on that lousy farm, surrounded by lousy, useless women!"

By and large, the other patrons had learned to ignore Johann and his drunken ramblings. They knew his wife to be smart and capable, and they had only glimpsed his daughter from a distance (for the girl was secretive and Johann guarded her jealously), but she seemed to have been cast from her mother's mold. And in his own way, Johann was used to being ignored. He complained bitterly, but he did not expect anyone to listen, nor take his complaints seriously. Other men drank, laughed, and talked, amusing themselves with games. Johann cursed his lot and insulted his women.

He had no way of knowing that on that night, a mysterious figure seated at the far end of the bar was eavesdropping...
