Set them all free (ish ) in huge netted safe harbours where they can swim and play in as natural a setting as possible and never ever catch any more.
Others say keep them to "study" and "learn"

There is no logical justification to keep dolphins or whales in captivity. Excuses do not disregard selfishness.

Scientists have been able to study several species from afar. There is no reason to inflict our selfishness on other species simply because we can. If it is for medical reasons, that's an exception.

Otherwise, we are only trying to comfort ourselves of our own selfish desires.
