This user has the following games installed:

Sims 3, World Adventures, Late Night, Generations

I have recently experienced game crashing while trying to move, and the Sims 3 Game Problem page said that I could post my system specs here and someone could tell me if my laptop was powerful enough. The expansion packs I have are Late Night, World Adventures, Supernatural, Ambitions, Showtime, Island Paradise, Into the Future, Generations, Seasons, University Life, and High-End Loft Stuff.

Here are my specs:

Your specs are fine, they're overkill of the game actually. There are many reasons why the game would crash. It could be mod related or savegame corruption, etc.. or other issues. Also, what do you mean crashing? Do you mean crash to desktop? Did you get Error 12? Error 16? Etc...? Or did it just freeze? And it only crashes when you are trying to move?

You are using Win 8, so I don't know whether this applies to you. For those using Win XP to Win 7, there's something called DEP. You must add Sims 3 and all the expansion executables to the DEP (at least the base game.) It might also apply to Win 8, so I suggest you do this if you haven't done it.

I don't have Win 8, so I can't help you specifically. However, in Win XP to 7, it is located in "system properties" --> "Advanced settings" --> "performance" button --> "Data Execution Prevention" tab

Good luck!

Hello,

Well this only happens on 1 saved game. I had no problems before. I moved my family to Island Paradise and built a boathouse on another lot for them, but when they were in the process of moving to the new boathouse, I get the message in the picture. I don't get any error numbers. Anyway, I'll try what you suggested^^ thanks for your help!

Just wanted to mention that her specs are NOT overkill. She doesn't have a dedicated GPU. The Intel 4000 is not recommended.

That being said I think the error she's getting is not because of the low specs. It's probably a software issue. Let us know if that DEP tweak works for you, @Mickysusu.

In addition to trying the DEP tweak, I also suggest installing NRaas ErrorTrap and NRaas Overwatch. These two mods do not affect gameplay, but are godsends to make TS3 runs more stable.
