Default Worldly Differences
Read the birthday post to see why i'm making this, otherwise ,,

This thread is basicly just a time filler, write down anything you find odd about another country/place thats different to where you are

for example here in New Zealand we use the metric system I.e; centimetres, metres, kilometres etc, and the imperial system confuses the heck out of me, life would be so much easier with just one system i think. Lol

so you get the jist of it? goood well lets see what else we can learn about the world today then.

Well, when you think about it, bathroom really doesn't make sense. Because you aren't going to the room to take a bath. Unless you are. Then...yeah.

Really? lol. Here, most houses have the toilet and bath/shower in the same room, which would be called the bathroom. But really, any room with a toilet is called a bathroom. Which is stupid, I know.

I've no idea why but it's the same with almost every house i've lived in, maybe it's a new zealand thing, or possibly people who design houses here have people they know who take waaaaaaaaaaay to long in the shower/bath or loo they decided to seperate them idk

i don't think i've ever seen one like that .. its always toilet and next to it is the bathroom, or like at my dads place and one of my old houses its the washouse & toilet, so washing machine, dryer and toilet + washing sink and then next door is the shower/bath/ sink

i dont know how much worldly differance it is, but when i moved to louisiana they had a different saying for boyfriend or girlfriend. They call them my old lady or my old man. I had never heard that until I had moved here.
