Slower time progression mod?
Hello! I'm looking for a mod that allows me to influence the time flow of the game (not slow motion, just slow time). I came across this mod: http://modthesims.info/d/85710 But I reckon that a 10 year old mod won't work with the ultimate collection...
Does anyone know of a more recent mod for The Sims 2 that allows me to influence the time flow? Days just go by so fast in TS2!

The Sims 4! Weirder Sims! Aren't they weird!? Look how weird they are! Bet you can't wait to see how weird their stories are!?

I have the clock in my UC and it works.
I don't use it though, because sims' sleeping patterns are very disturbed by it: in a normal game, sims will sleep through the night if their energy bar hasn't maxed out by 00.00, or 12 am. This makes it harder to reach that point, as sims gain energy at the same pace, but time ticks slower.
Also, be prepared to have your sims reach the point of exhaustion at 6 pm.
Now, if someone were to make a mod that makes the energy bar increase/decrease more slowly, that'd be nice...

There is another mod, made by Chris Hatch at Back Alley Sims that slows the game down by half.
However, it does mean you have to join the site, because it's not available otherwise. The hack itself is family friendly, but because Chris does (as well as other creators) some naughty stuff it requires that only 18 years or older can get in.

By the way, his hack is based directly on Merola's clock-I've had it in my game for a long time, and I'd say you get to enjoy the game more. I certainly do.

Chris Hatch's clock is global and works on community lots while Merola's doesn't. The only weird this is that relationship decay doesn't change so you'll get a bunch of those "Hey, we haven't chatted in a while" messages in rapid succession.

Don't use those mods if you use community lot time, I wrecked time and sim need decay rate on one of my lots. I had to put the clock back in and set it to speed 3 to try and make the time speed up, but even on speed 300% the time is still going slower than normal game speed and if I leave the lot it's like they are away double the time. So community lot time says they will be back home by 6pm and they don't get back to 12am, it's total messed up. That's all I can think that messed it up, either the clock or Chris hatches mod combined with the Community Lot Time project.

Well, you're likely to be wrong there. EAxis stopped making the game ten years ago and haven't done anything to it since. Nothing has changed. The UC isn't an updated game engine - it's just a new front end which allows it to be loaded via Origin. The file locations have changed a bit and that's about it.

I no longer come over to MTS very often but if you would like to ask me a question then you can find me on tumblr or my own site tflc. TFLC has an archive of all my CC downloads.
