Default Packages
I installed a lot of packages on my base game, and it works fine. It can run relatively smooth on low settings with a few tweeked highs, but is there anyway to make a heavily modded game run quicker (288 mods and packages was my last count).

My PC isn't an issue as it's a nice set up for this game at least.

You can also use Granthes Sims 3 Launcher, which combines packages for you if you are too scared/ technically inept to do it yourself.

I just started using the Sims 3 Launcher Package program, and it is much better than using S3pe, in my opinion.
It is also much faster at merging the files than S3PE is, so I'd recommend using this method instead.

Grant's launcher specialises in and is optimised for that sort of task. The S3PE version is pretty much a bolt-on (originally as an experiment).
