Default Things I've Seen/Heard/Read About in The Sims 3: Midnight Hollow
Welcome to Midnight Hollow!
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Explore a landscape where all you’re really required to be is yourself. Under the subdued sky of Midnight Hollow, it’s the residents who really shine. Eccentric townsfolk have taken a century-old Victorian town and made it a place they can call home. What life will you make in a town where creativity and individuality are at the center of it all?

Will you be the owner of an art gallery bringing culture to the town? Or run a vintage furniture boutique to add class to Sims homes? Or a car showroom showing Sims life in the fast lane? The business opportunities are endless!

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

A house I loved very well
Was a wonderful place to dwell
But it caught on fire,
flames, they rose higher
Leaving only a burned-out shell

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Her wardrobe’s a bit of a mess
She thinks she’d like a new dress
It’s hard to decide
7 choices she spied
The decision is giving her stress

Let me guess, it either has one or all of these features:

1) Beachy landscapes and scenic views straight out of a summer vacation catalog

2) Rich and famous sims that look rich and famous

3) Aliens in a sterile, "spacey" environment

4) Supernaturals that look different, but act like everyone else

5) Same rabbitholes, different exterior

To clarify the limerick at the top (which I first thought to be matrix's own, you know, as a cute little prelude to the thread) here's two grabs from SimGuruSparkle's twitter.

Maybe we'll be getting some monstrous post-apocalyptic fantasy world. Or one filled with magma and infernos and despair.

Thank you, Sinus. :D

Also, the pictures is supposed to be available but, you know... it's not.

I hope I'm not alone in being irritated by that limerick. SimGuruSparkle has no ear for meter.

Oops, ninja'd. Sorry.

EDIT: I want some cobwebs too.

Ooooh, spooky burnt out house... me like.
Now let's see if the rest of the world lives up to this one screenshot...

@lewisb40 - I'd like some cobwebs too ; the more creepy stuff the better

Dark world?

I hope it's a darker themed world. Moonlight Falls is my favorite out of all of them and I'd love a 'creepy' world along those lines.

I am not pretty. I am not beautiful. I am as radiant as the sun.

The screenshot reminds me of Grey Meadows (which is where my Scumthropes are...) or one of the worlds by the same creator. So that's kinda exciting.

I would buy that in a heartbeat!

Anyway, I admit I'm interested, but a whole spooky world I wonder? I can't see them doing that but who knows.

......hmmmm; trying not to get too hopeful, but this second riddle sounds like clothes shopping could be in the works... I remember they did show registers in a screen a while back.. we'll see

More Victorian stuff.

While I'm happy to have more Victorian stuff... we have a lot of Victorian stuff, but I guess more wont be too bad. Victorian Architecture is all I ask. Mansard roofs and Victorian Roof Ends anyone?

Also, I believe there was a shopping hint as well.

Well, I hope the Gold Edition's 1500 Simpoint premium content isn't some overly designed Victorian cash register for the clothing store. I'd like to be able to build some clothing stores in places like LP and IP, and a Victorian register will just look odd. It's like the elixir consignment register. When I use it in a more modern consignment shop outside of MF, it just looks funny.

The TS2 system was far better. All of 3 registers, universal for multiple functions.

So they'd prefer to talk shit than to show it,
another shit world and they know it,
but I guess that does fit,
when the game is but shit,
and the shit is slung by a shit poet.

I believe they accidentally removed some Thriller/Gothic/Haunted Décors from the Movies Stuff pack to release this Store World.

As long as that fence and roof end exist in build/buy mode, I'd be happy.
