Default TS2 file compression and simpe?
I'm just getting back into the sims 2 and I remember that when your download folder got huge that a way to deal with the long load times was to amalgamate a lot of package files into one using simpe.
The new version of SimPE seems no longer to have the option of doing that, or not that I can find, and all the tutorials on-line are using an older version of the program.
Does SimPE no longer do the above ,
Thanks for any help.

That was never a great idea with TS2, because although it works for some things, it will also break some things. SimPE has never had an option to do that automatically - you can (and always have been able to) extract all the resources from one package file and add them to another one, though.

Maybe you're thinking of Sims 3 and S3PE?

Are you thinking of the Compressorizer perhaps?

No gwynne, I've used the copressorizer, and I may be getting my Sims mixed up, Club Crimson has a tut about it- http://club-crimsyn.dreamwidth.org/28336.html?#cutid1- but looking at it now I think it's the sims 3!! I'm a twit.
So this was never done in the Sims 2?
