Occupied hoods
Other than all the ones on here and Beacon Falls can anyone suggest some other occupied hoods available to download?

Rodeburg - CC free and requires all EPs and Mansion & Garden.

Europa - CC free. Doesn't state EP requirements, but you have them all so it shouldn't be a problem.
Thanks to Crmelsimlover for sharing these rare Christianlov mods for TS2: Cpack editor with working face DNA fixer and Skin Selector Painting Prototype. Instructions for adding custom skins to Skin Selector at post #5 here. Instructions for using the DNA fixer at post # 2662 here.

Welcome to Rodeburg, a small neighbourhood with a lot of secrets. Dead lovers, creatures of the night, amateur sleuths, you name it. Rodeburg’s got it all! Rodeburg is meant to be some kind of continental gothic neighbourhood. Most of the names are of German, French or Dutch origin and the mansions are inspired by existing mansions near me (German architecture is… something.). This is a custom neighbourhood. It is completely CC free and requires all expansion packs and stuff packs to play (it will probably work fine without all of the stuff packs, but it definitely requires Mansion and Garden to work). Rodeburg contains 14 lots and 16 playable characters (of whom 4 are dead at the start of the game) and one NPC paperboy). Other than that, it is completely clean. I followed katatty’s guide here to make sure it will be corruption free and it should be according to Hood Checker (but if there’s someone more experienced, please feel free to check for signs of corruption- wouldn’t want to upload a corrupted neighbourhood file). |

Europa is a fully custom neighborhood, featuring: 5 households! - each with their own sets of memories, bios and storytelling pictures. Customized townies and NPCs! - many of whom have family connections with each other and relationships with playables. Player-run businesses! - the majority of the community lots (such as a farm, restaurant, and even a church) are owned by playables, giving the hood a BACC-ish feel. Plenty of drama! from affairs and unexpected pregnancies to sibling rivalries, this hood has it all. I tried to give each character a mix of good and bad qualities, with lots of room for player-interpretation. Beautiful lots! - the hood has a Mediterranean vibe and lots are all landscaped, with a consistent aesthetic. Truthfully I can’t take too much credit for the nice lots, they’re modeled on Mote Vista’s buildings. A Flythrough Video! - this was done by utilizing one of the maxis unused flythoughs, and is how the hood got its name. No CC! - the neighborhood is entirely free of any custom content. http://katatty.tumblr.com/post/1622...new-custom-hood Now also available as a sub-hood. http://katatty.tumblr.com/post/1651...bhood-this-is-a |

On the above question about populated hoods: Wiki needs updating- lots of links go nowhere, Mooville is NOT populated, and the mega-hoods (all?) now defer to Tarlia's hoods.
My favs are from The Hood Building Group, on MTS. There is even a university (Quadington), complete with story-lines, Sims with history & relatives, and oh yea - zombies. It even spawns zombie NPCs!
Stand up, speak out. Just not to me..

Europa is all EPs and SPs, and you'll probably want Perfect Gardens in addition. It's a beautiful neighborhood, with engaging sims and storylines and lots of potential. I recommend it highly.
Also, sheep-dogs!

Well, I see Europa, but I don't see Perfect Gardens.

I think it's actually called Perfect Plants, so I misled you there. Sorry; I don't use it and got mixed up. She has links to recommended mods in the post I linked to, though.

Perfect Plants is at Simbology I think. I usually recommend it for my lots because I'm such a sim gardener.

Inge's original "No Care Flowers" and "No Care Shrubs" are here:

TwoJeffs reworked those into "Perfect Plants" and "Perfect Gardens"

Will also stop weeds from spreading if they manage to appear from puddles. Perfect Gardens includes all features of Perfect Plants, but will also keep orchard trees and crops in perfect condition. Kinda cheaty, I know. That's why I made it optional. |
