This user has the following games installed:

Sims 3, World Adventures, Ambitions, Late Night, Generations, Pets, Showtime, Supernatural, Seasons, University Life, Island Paradise, Into the Future
Default Game doesn't even start.. Crashes immediately after pressing play and even after bypassing the launcher(and I have tried almost everything)
I open the launcher, which starts fine. I press play, the screen is black, then a grey color. No loading time or anything, then I get an error message that says "The sims 3 has stopped working" and gives me the option to check online for a solution, so that's what I am doing since I couldn't find anything online about a similar issue.

I have tried changed the DEP settings. I have tried bypassed the launcher. I have deleted the caches, I have tried setting the option in the options.ini to not set to fullscreen. I have tried the "ultimate fix."

I have now completely started over and uninstalled every single expansion pack, including the CAW tool. I re-downloaded from my origin ONLY the Sims 3 base game(I have all the expansions but didn't redownload them). Fresh start, no CC, no mods, newly installed fresh game. Same thing happens.

I play other games and I have NEVER had ANY problems other than with the Sims 3.

My game is patched to 1.67.2.024017

Here are my standard specs for my computer:
Processor Intel(R) Core(TM) i5-2500K CPU @ 3.30GHz
Manufacturer Intel
Speed 3.3 GHz
Number of Cores 4
Video Card NVIDIA GeForce GTX 550 Ti
Manufacturer NVIDIA
Chipset GeForce GTX 550 Ti
Dedicated Memory 1.0 GB
Total Memory 4.0 GB
Memory 16 GB
Operating System Microsoft Windows 7 Professional Edition Service Pack 1 (build 7601), 64-bit
Service Pack 1
Size 64 Bit

DVD HL-DT-ST BDDVDRW CH08LS10 ATA Device
CD HL-DT-ST BDDVDRW CH08LS10 ATA Device

At this point I am taking any suggestions, any advice, anything. I just want to be able to play my game again.

I have removed all custom content and mods, and it runs. I added back in my "mods" folder, and the game runs fine, but the "packages" do NOT show up in my game. However, when I put my "downloads" folder back in and attempt to install them via the launcher, it crashes with the same crash error. I really don't want to have to play my game without custom content, any ideas?

Well, that means that you have one or more bad cc files among them. You can try to add them back just few at a time. There really aren't any quick solution to bad cc.

There's also help in the sticky post: http://simswiki.info/wiki.php?title..._Custom_Content

or... there's something wrong with your launcher. Mine had the same problem and I removed one of the files that I now just click on to start my game, but I renamed mine so I can't tell you what file it is, sorry =(
