Default SOLVED: All sims given cell phones automatically
I really want all sims to automatically be given a cell phone when reaching their teens. Playables, Townies, Dormies, you name it.
Is there a mod out there for this?
Or if not for all sims, at least for all playables.

It's part of a sim's dignity to acquire his or her own cell phone. As soon as they need one (and I like everyone in the house to have one, so we know for whom the phone rings) I send them down to the coffee shop, where there is a phone-selling machine. That is also an opportunity to greet others, check them out, and beat them at chess. Is it too hard for you to do likewise?
By the way, there is an option on the simblender, I believe, to give a cell phone, if you're really too lazy.

Not exactly what you wanted, but I also don't like going through loading screens only to buy my sims a cellphone (I suppose that's why you're looking for such a mod, correct me if I'm wrong), so I use Cyjon's Buyable Electronics, with this mod you can just buy it on buy mode, and it even has an optional file to satisfy wants.

there is also an option in the debug menu if you don't have sim blender. actually I have sim blender and don't know where such an option is. guess I need to look again.

try Boiling Oils phones for all mod. just found it.
here is the link. http://www.simbology.com/smf/index.php?topic=7875.50
it's Reply #54. not 55 as I just put, that's how to be a neglectful sim parent and leave the kids home while you go out to party.

Thank you! That is just what I wanted. So sick of not being able to call townies and dormies. Yes, I have Phae's phonebook, but still.

Sometimes it's not about lazy. Perhaps your Sim is a shut-in, or perhaps they do not want to (or cannot) hire a nanny. Perhaps they are recovering from an illness and roll a cellphone want. I have also had times in my lot where the wall mounted phone will not allow me to make any calls, so a quick dash to the PC to buy a phone is preferable to loading a lot. I also prefer my Sims to know only who is necessary, and not have loads of excess Sims on their panels if it can be helped.

Perhaps some cannot load those lots easily, or it takes a lot of time to switch screens. Point being, you don't know. Please, please, I beg you... do not call lazy before you know all the facts, because in fact, there are many reasons, and your post was very opinionated. Each person is allowed to play by their rules and not by one persons (barring challenges, LOL).

@SciBirg
You're welcome.

Phae's Phonebook? How does that help with giving them a cell phone?

It just helps with being able to call ANYONE. But giving them a phone is a LOT easier, I think.

The problem was that some dormies did not have a phone and my sim wanted to call his love interest, especially since I have Pescado's phone hack with talk module, so they will talk until the relationship hits 100.
