Default WCIF "Turn On" Sprinkler interaction?
I've got a desert neighbourhood with a few manufactured lawns that I'm sure would waste a metric ton of water. It'd be cool to have some sprinklers that just water the grass and nothing else, purely for decoration. My Google-fu has failed me, any ideas?

Thanks guys

Well, the only sprinklers I know of both have additional options (not just a watering only function). I will leave the links just in case you have not seen them and/or decide you would like to give them a try anyhow. Maybe, they could be tweaked (if you are capable of modding) a bit to suit your needs.

http://www.simslice.com/thesims2/ts2objects-pg12.htm - The second item on the page.

http://digitalperversion.net/garden...14520#msg714520 - The sprinkler is in the gift by Decat.

If you want to see Decat's sprinkler in action, I posted a picture some time ago here http://www.modthesims.info/showthre...260#post4951260

I don't feel comfortable paying for the first item you linked, as nice as it is, but the second item is absolutely perfect! Thank you so much for your help

Simslice isn't open anyway, so even if you tried to pay you can't, you will find the items on the Booty.

Apart from Decat's there is this one http://modthesims.info/d/289201 Both are simply the water wiggler toy remeshed. They do not move like a garden sprinkler. Sims can play and dogs can play and bath in them. I find them handy for homes with dogs.

Or if you want to use the in game sprinklers, but don't want the maintenance then there's a mod in here called Sprinklers Don't Break.

Yeah, it doesn't seem to work for me either.

You guys have been a great help, the closest I've found to what I was after is the Simslice sprinkler, but it's pretty tiny and spams me with messages every morning

I guess ideally what I'm looking for is a purely decorative sprinkler, with a wide spread like the Seasons ones that I can turn on and off. I'm surprised there's no mod to stop them being automatic and make them manual instead.

Simslice sprinkler will cause problems with puddles in the game. His objects often have other things in them that he considers 'surprises'. It's been about a year since I tried the sprinkler, so I'm not sure what else I didn't like about it.

Oh, I was in no way suggesting you pay for the sprinkler. As Jo mentioned, there is always another site to get it from. Should have made that clear...it just seemed close to what you were looking for is all. Sorry it turned out to have spamming issues. I personally just use the one from Decat, as it's aesthetically pleasing and offers up some family fun too.

Maybe, you'll find something that's perfect for your needs down the road.

I think that it was trying to link to this post? The sprinklers there are pretty cool, but they have to hang from a ceiling/roof so wouldn't really work for lawns....

It's available for free on the booty!
