The Avengers movie.

Granted, it's actually not that bad, but after getting all those hype from all over the place... Well, it was a major disappointment, and it's not worth a tenth of the attention it had received.

What is so great about a game full of blocky, pixelated, people and no real point?

Justin Bieber. There has been completely chaos here in Norway due to his concert on the Bjørvika Opera roof. Can't believe people will sell their soul for such bad music. I wouldn't say I hate him, since he hasn't really done anything bad. Neither do I care to hate random celebrities just because their music sucks. But I don't think he deserves half the attention he gets.

I'm saturated. Really. Saturated. I can't go on a website without seeing 50 topics related to these books/series.

Interesting about you bringing up "Fifty Shades of Grey," as I was just doing a bit of online reading about it the other day. Apparently, the thing started out as a "Twilight" fanfiction, which the author then decided to publish after a few quick name changes. Make of that what you will I suppose...

One Direction. I don't hate them, they seem for the most part like very straightforward, good young men, but I haven't done a lot of research on them, besides what their uber-fans say they are. I just don't like their music. Yes, some of their songs are inspirational, and I admire that, but inspirational and motivational songs seem to be a running theme recently, and it has honestly gotten a bit stale in my opinion, and really, I don't think they sing that great.

Now, just keep in mind this is just MY opinion, and you can disagree all you want, but it's not going to change how I feel.

Yeah. It creeps me out to say the least. But it is so popular I cannot go to goodreads or amazon without someone lurving the book.

I went to a bookstore and decided to buy "Fifty Shades of Grey", not even knowing that it was very popular, I just thought it just sounded interesting (of course now, I don't even remember what the summary was.) Learning that it came from a Twilight fanfiction kinda scares me a bit..

I simply refuse to read Fifty Shades of Grey. I'm all for sexy romance, but a Twilight fanfic about BDSM? Seems to me like it sends the message it's okay for a guy to take advantage of you...as long as he's hot. Which I am not okay with. And from what I've read on goodreads.com, it wasn't well-written either. But half my friends are reading it...even those who say they don't like Twilight. It's the same thing, people. Only the "adult" version, with the fantasy left out. Am I seriously the only 18-year-old in the world who likes a guy more for being a decent and intelligent person than his ripped abs? Some physical attraction is important, but really.

Canned pumpkin's usually actually just flavoured squash. The More You Know.

I absolutely despise hipsters. They've taken something that I loved - my adoration of old clothing styles - and just bastardised and commercialised it. Now something that was mine two years ago just makes me look like one of them.

I hate how they're always looking like they've stepped out of a thrift store (usually the case) whilst Instagramming their 34-word-long-order of Starbucks Coffee on their brand-new mummy-bought-it iPhone 5's and talking about the mental disorder of the week they have and the music that you could lull yourself to sleep to that is so underground. And yet half of them wouldn't even make it in the REAL underground music scene.

The ever so popular Twilight and Fifty shades. I've seen the Twilight movies out of curiosity (not sure if I've seen all of them, though I don't care - they su**ed), and if the books really deserve "the books were better" praise, I honestly don't care. The movies were so bad they made me fall asleep during the so-called "action scenes", and at least 2 hours of each film consisted of staring at each other, running through forests, and oh-so-dramatic wannabe poetic and/or wannabe romantic talking that made me want to puke. If the books really are better, they can still hardly be worth the paper they're written on. I was curious on Fifty Shades - until I heard they were originally based on a Twilight fanfic. Though, I might have considered an audio version if Gilbert Gottfried was to read it, but only for the hours worth of laughing.

Maybe I'm not the right age for the Twilight hysteria (if you keep the Twi-moms out of it). My own teenage years were spent in awe over the Harry Potter books/movies, and while the awe calmed down after I reached my 20s, I still like the books, even if they're not my favorite any more. In my opinion, Twilight does NOT deserve being compared in a positive way to HP. The characters seem shallow (I can only talk for the movies, but Bells seems as shallow as a tiny puddle on the road after a light rainfall, while Edward is a "17 year old" 100-something year old vampire stalking innocent girls and watching them while they sleep - how creepy isn't that?), and I just can't shake off the feeling that a certain author I can't stand borrowed several ideas and names from the author I like and respect. Half the names of the main characters seem to come from HP (Jacob, Black, Bella, just to mention a few), and there are other obvious similarities, too. Kind of like a mediocre fanfic writer with her own ideas... It's alright to borrow a few ideas from other authors, but don't make it so blatantly obvious, please!

If Twilight make teenagers read, then that has to be the only positive thing about it (though, the creepy stalking thing is hardly good for teenagers to read about - they might get ideas). As for me, I've got better books to read. I might have considered reading them if I was somehow locked inside for weeks with the books and had nothing else to do, but as long as there are better books out there, they'll not even get on my list of books to read. And as I said, I'll ONLY consider Fifty Shades if Gilbert does the audio (it's easy to find an excerpt on Youtube, but I'll not link it as it probably R-rated at the very least).

That music that everyone seems to agree they like when they are ragging on how awful top 40s pop music is and how bad and commercial mainstream bands are.
I check out the Youtube vids they post saying how it's so awesome, and everyone agrees and follows up with "yeah, I love that song" or "yeah, I love that band".
I'm the lone voice that thinks quietly to myself, "no thanks, I'll take top 40s pop over that any day."

- Moppy head haircut on guys. Will it never go out of style?
- Skinny jeans on guys
- 1970s Farrah Fawcett hairstyle on girls
- TV shows about brooding vampires.
- Sports cars, muscle cars, lifted trucks, compact cars, and those box-shaped crossover SUVs, pretty much anything most kids want.
- Deli sandwiches (Quiznos, Subway, etc)
- Cold sandwiches
- Cold pizza
- Beef jerky
- Network TV dramas. Even the popular ones like Criminal Minds, CSI, NCIS, bore me to tears.
- Justin Bieber
- Gaudy computer cases that have windows and neon lights
- Religion. Any and all of them.
- Classic NES/SNES games. Just too hard for me.

My problem with Twilight isn't so much that it sucks, but that it glorifies an EXTREMELY dysfunctional and damaging relationship to young girls. Say what you will about Harry Potter, but those books (and movies) gave a generation of kids some pretty damn good values. Values like "be nice to others" and "always try your hardest". Not Twilight's values which seem so be "worship your dickbag boyfriend" and "do whatever he says".

As for something that everyone loves and I absolutely despise?

- New York City
- Pickles
- No Country For Old Men
- The British Royal Family
- Arrested Development
- Dane Cook (actually I'm not even close to alone with this one. I just fucking HATE Dane Cook)
- Birthdays
- Vegans
- A monkey operated shoe polishing device of some sort. A red one.

Gilbert Gottfried doing dramatic readings of porn is one of those "I never knew I wanted/needed it until now" moments. Seriously, that would be genius.

I nearly fell off my chair laughing when I heard the youtube excerpt. It's absolutely hilarious!

And I can agree with whoever said Justin Bieber. I happen to have two Bieber fans on my facebook friend list, and at times I want to slap them into some sense - calling themselves "Beliebers", posting almost daily pictures, and half the comments are in the direction of "I love justin Bieber!!!"... It's really getting annoying. And as if that isn't bad enough, every time I'm at home and my nephews visit, they insist on singing Bieber songs - even the 3-year-old...

- Caramel
- Nuts of all kinds (I'm not allergic, I just hate them! Especially in my chocolate-y desserts. They get in the way of the chocolate!)
- Anything pumpkin-flavored
- Fish and any kind of seafood (The smell alone is bad enough!)
- Mushrooms
- Pickles

- High heels (I seriously look like baby Bambi trying to walk in those things. Not to mention they HURT!)
- Heat (If I could get away with it, I would never turn the heat on in my house. Really, I could live without it. I'm like an eskimo.) (And don't get me started on the heat outside in summer in Georgia...)

It's funny (to me) that most of the things I thought of for this list are food-related =P (I'm a very picky eater! That's only a small sample of the foods I don't like.) Most everything else in the world, I can at least tolerate, even if I don't personally like it. I'm pretty easygoing, I guess. =)

About Twilight, Justin Bieber, One Direction and the like... I don't read/listen to those things myself, but I don't get worked up into a rage over them. I figure they'll all fade away in their own time. I just pay them no attention. Out of sight, out of mind

some things like instagram, or simply posting photos (like food, wtf! ) publicly just to lure attention (in Facebook's case I refer to "likes")..I understand some people just can't help to be expressive, but seeing them overly doing it just annoys me

- Bloom and HDR in games and photos.
- Instagrammed photos. Why do you want a photo you just took to look like it was taken in 1975 with a 110 film camera?
- Alcohol. Too bitter, I don't like bitter. No getting drunk for me, too bad, so sad.
- Coffee. Also too bitter for me. Do not like. No wonder I'm sleepy all day.
- Pickles. They are sour and tart, I don't like sour or tart, though I don't bother to remove them from my burgers.
- Mustard. Even a little is too much.
- Vinegar. Hate the smell, tastes like it smells.
- Craisins (or any fruit) in lettuce salads. I like fruit and fruit salad. I like vegetable salad. I just don't like mixing fruit and vegetables into a salad.
- Pineapple on pizza. Fruit on pizza, soooo wrong.
- Gummy worms, gummy bears. Like chewing on slightly sweetened rubber tire. Never liked them.
- Rage comics. I just don't find them funny.
- Texts from dog. Also not funny.

- Dogs. Can't stand them, and I've got a quite strong phobia for them. Too bad several family members have dogs. I just can't understand why dogs always feel the need to sniff your crotch every time they see you, whether or not they actually know you. I'm also very annoyed on the automatic "But s/he's not dangerous". A person with phobia for dogs DO NOT want loose dogs anywhere near them, no matter how "nice" the dog is, and especially not anywhere near their private areas or licking their face.
I like cats better. They mind their own business, and don't feel the need to cuddle unless it's mutual.

- Alcohol. Feels like I'm one of very few people past 20 who have never touched it unless it was medical alcohol for disinfection purposes (but that's not drinkable, so it doesn't count), some soda that even the younger kids drank (0.00-something%), and a few sips of a kiwi drink that I'm not even sure had alcohol in it (and if there was, it wasn't much).

- Parties. I'm not a party lion to start with, and if you mix alcohol and loud music into it, I'm most definitely keeping out.

- Smoke (cigaretts and similar). Smells awful, and could never even consider using it, or any other tobacco products. I don't need health problems other than the ones I already have, and there's not one single positive thing about tobacco, so I keep far off.

- Soda. It's not that I hate it, I'm just not big on the sparkliness. I drink soda perhaps less than ten times a year, and most of my soda-drinking happens around Christmas. I tend to de-bubblify the soda as best as I can before I drink it, though.

- Coffee. Especially iced coffee (which I absolutely hate). Never actually drunk the hot variant, but I just can't get the hype. Give me water any day and I'm happy. The only place coffee belongs is in chocolate cake icing.

Lord of the Rings/The Hobbit. I read them in school as a child, and I remember watching the cartoon versions of them, which at the time kept my interests. However with the recent Lord of the Rings trilogy, and I'll throw in the upcoming move The Hobbit ( although I know it's a great presumption), I found them boring. I know people are throwing things at me right now! However, I will admit the movies themselves were beautifully shot!

Energy drinks: I've tried a few different kinds, but I've never liked the taste of them. Give me a latte any day for my caffeine fix!
