This user has the following games installed:

Sims 2, University, Nightlife, Open for Business, Pets, Seasons, Bon Voyage, Free Time, Apartment Life
Default Ultimate Collection - installing cc-sims?
Hi! I'm a bit lost on how I'm supposed to install a sims to the game. I suspect that just shoving the file into the /downloads map isn't the correct way?

They go into a folder called "SavedSims" in My Doc Sims 2 folder.

If they have CC also then the CC goes into the Downloads folder but the Sim it self goes into the "SavedSims" folder.

Your suspicion is correct. If you've never installed custom content before, I'd suggest you read this: http://modthesims.info/wiki.php?tit...Fracking_Idiots

Think of it like this: Sims aren't furniture or other nice things that you download into your game. Therefore, they shouldn't go into the /Downloads folder (they're not furniture!), but into the SavedSims folder.
