hi guys, when i download a house in a installer package, after i install it do i still need the installable package or can i delete them? i now i've been downloading for a while, but i've always forgot to ask

You can delete them if you want but if you ever want to install them after a reinstall you would have to re-download them.

Not if you back up your downloads.

I sometimes find that I need the original package to hunt down all the files it contained and delete them from my downloads. But I usually just hunt down the package and download it again. I have a lot of disc space, but I don't want to fill it with duplicates.

good idea, but unfortunatly my lame cd writer is no longer working and we can't get the right software to install it again, but if we ever fix it i keep it in mind. xxx
