I can buy a television in the catalog, place it in the house, no problems there. But when a sim turns on the original tv, the game crashes. (I have tried uninstalling and re installing the game several times, i have no hacks, no downloaded objects. I also have no idea what could be wrong with my game.) Any ideas? |

it just so happens that my sims2pack installer doesn't work either :D it installs and everything, but when i open it, it asks me to debug it. the program did work 1% of the times i tried to open it, but most of the time it just gives me the error message. |

Are you trying to use it to open .package files? |

Maxis' content installer should only be used for installing sims2pack and sims2skin files. Are you talking about the Sims2PackCleanInstaller? |

Also, make sure your anti-virus program is disabled when you're playing the sims2 - it can crash your game. Julie =) |

I tried downloading a new copy of it and it still didn't work. Thing is, i'm pretty sure my problem isn't with the downloaded objects, it's with the original in-game ones. I read on some FAQ that the thing to do in this case is a manual uninstall or delete the "Downloads" folder altogether, and I tried both with no success. Sims2PackCleanInstaller won't make a difference, I don't think. Yesterday i noticed that both the TV and the computer crash the game; the sims can find a job, but the "Play (whatever)" function causes it to crash. |
