Thank you! I love objects like this that match bedding. It makes decorating so much easier.

This is fantastic. I too love stuff like this. It's so hard finding curtains to match certain bedding. This will be great for making the best bedroom sets, and will add more variety for the other rooms in the house as well. Thank you!

This is wonderful and such a great idea!! Thank you so much!!

Question, though.. What sections of the bedding texture will the curtain take? I ask 'coz it may change the way I make my beddings Thanks again and terrific job!!!!

It uses a part of the left border of the bedding texture (excluding the top part with the lining). I can send you a UV-map if you need it .

What a fantastic idea! Thank you so much!

Do you think it would be possible to apply the same thing to the maxis bedside table that uses a piece of fabric in the door? Just an idea if you have the time and inclination - I'm thrilled to bits with the curtains.

This is one of the those essentials that I think every game must have!

Thanks Helena - I love your ingenuity.

I'd like the UV map as well

Rascal, I'll take a look at how that end table mesh looks like and see if I could do that

Lyran and Kiri, I will email you the uv-map later today when I'm home at my own computer .

Genius!

maxis seems to miss the boat on making stuff match! (The million different wood shades spring to mind) Good to know there's modders who want to sort that out!

Thanks

Wonderful, thank you =)

In case you have nothing else to do on a long winter night some day ... here's some more objects that could use texture swapping/borrowing:

Couch/Recliner; curtains; bedding -> dining chair seat
Couch/Recliner -> curtains
Bedding -> Couch/Recliner
Couch/Recliner -> Armchair
Curtains; bedding -> lamp shade? (probably difficult/impossible since it has two states)
Curtains; bedding -> tablecloth (the Maxis NL tables)

And, yes, wood. Totally. That would be so much better than having a gazillion almost-matching downloads ...

Thanks for the idea, I may give some of these a try . The lamp shade might be possible as well, never tried to make a lamp borrow its texture from another object, though.
