Why Does Everyone Leave The Lot When My Sim Leaves? When Theres A Manger?
I thought the whole point of hireing one was so that I dont have to freaking stay on the lot to make money, everytime I tell my sim to get in the car and go home she starts yelling and blowing her whistile for everyone to leave, what the heck is that all about? In the game-manual it says to hire one and you won have to always vist the lot, but it seems you do.

Also when I try useing the phone to "Check-in" with my bussniess it tells me there is no manger for that lot when in fact there is!! it does this for all lots!

This is got to the most annoying EXP yet with all these freaking issues

Anyhow Thanks in advance for anyhelp.

When you hire a worker it does not mean they are then the manager. Your worker needs to gain enough badge points to be promoted to manager. Did you promote your Sim to manager? If so, they will appear as a controllable Sim when you are on the lot.

I found it surprising that although I had employed a manager, when I went to leave, my Sim closed the lot and everyone left!

Once you have a manager, there is no need to visit the lot, but as far as I can work out, profit is based on the performance when the lot was last visited and opened by your Sim. If you have organised it to run at a profit, it will continue to do so. I have turned over a couple of hundred Simoleans per day at a nightclub left in the charge of a manager and two workers. Not a lot, but still a profit!

If it isn't working for you, I suggest cleaning out your downloads folder to test for compatibility issues.

If my sim already owns the lot doesnt that make them the manger by default?
I didnt see any were it said you had to promote your self to a manger, doesnt make sence if you do..lol

The sim I wanted to make a manger has got gold badges,I heard thats the highest they can go? So I made them a manger based on that, but still when my sim leaves the lot so does everyone else, Is this normal? if it is this just something stupid Maxis decided to do, I mean in Sims1 when you left any lot you never chased everyone off cause you were leaveing..LOL, thats jsut crazy!

Your Sim is the manager of the lot until you 'Promote' a worker to manager, they must have enough badge points to be promoted, then click on them and choose 'Management' 'Promote To Manager'. They will then appear at the bottom left in your controllable Sims panel, have you done this?

Otherwise your lot will not generate cash when you are not there because you have not employed a manager, the lot owner is the manager!

Seems that it is normal for all to leave when your Sim does, that is what happens in-game here too.

I also thought that because the workers are employed from 9-5 according to their job specs, that your Sim could turn up at the lot during these hours and the workers would be there working, not so. OFB has some obvious flaws, still from what I have seen so far, adds some worthwhile features to gameplay.

I told her to "Mind the Store" and all the *itch did was walk away from me,That got me SO MAD!! is that normal for themto do that? she actually left the lot, then came back and played a pin-ball machine.
