I wasn't sure where to ask this, so I hope this is the right place...

First I will mention that I first had this problem before OFB, and I also have UNI and NL installed. When I first had this happen I figured the neighborhood was corrupt, now I'm not so sure.

Most recently I was playing a 'testing neighborhood' that I had recently created. I had added the OFB shopping neighborhood when I started the neighborhood but a few days later I added NL's Downtown neighborhood. Ever since then whenever I place a pre-built lot, there are tombstones (13) on the sidewalk with puddles in the road (blood I think).

The names on the tombstone are not any of the default townies or downtownies, but I believe they were default dead people that I think were added with NL. (The family names are Tricou and Neengia) Here's another wierd thing, even if you sell the tombstones and 'clean up' the puddles they reappear the next time the lot is loaded.

I've searched the forums but did not find anything related. Has anyone else seen or heard of this problem?

Thanks!

How strange. Ok, here comes the normal run of questions:
Do you have any hacks installed?
Have you checked your folders with Clean Installer?
Have you backed up you game files (on a seprate drive from the one where the main game files are or on external media) and then done a full reinstall?
Do you remember when this first started happening? After a patch, or a signifficant download session? This is my downfall. :D
Have you altered files with a program like Sim PE? I lost some of my Sim families when I was using the neighborhood browser and didn't back up my neighborhoods (like they tell you to do) and the old computer crashed the program.

I know how frustrating it can be when your game isn't working quite right, and for some people its a bit scary (yes, some of us spend a bit too much time with our Sims, but hey, it makes us happy! :laugh I'm currently working on transfer all my game files onto a new computer and even that's a bit nerve wracking.

Here is some info from the Sims 2 BBS:
Cemetary Bug
From Pegafree:
Don't bother putting the graves in Inventory and then using your Sim to place the tombstone because it's hard to place precisely or get it facing the right way. And, even if it works that way, the graves may end up back at the sidewalk. Just go directly into Build/Buy mode instead - much easier.

The only other thing I can think of is to use the InSIMenator (it's a hack so be cautious but not paranoid but I'd highly suggest backing up your game files). Use it to make friends with the deceaced Sim (after summoning them, be prepared to pause because they don't like to stay on the lot). Then use the grim reaper phone to resurrect the dead Sims. I really don;t know if this will work with the bug, but I've done it with my regular game (with Uni. and Nightlife installed) with no problems.

I hope your game can get over this 'morbid facination' soon. Any more info on how it may have happened would make it easier to figure out what's the matter.

Make sure all your hacks are up to date. I think the problem of the tombstones and the puddles are caused by the "yellowpee hack" or a really old version of the "insimenator".

Thank you both for your tips and suggestions! It turned out to be the yellowpee hack. Fortunately, it didn't cause any permanent damage as I was able to go into lots that I knew had the problem and the tombstones were gone...
