wow....it took me 30 minutes to find out how to post here....lol, been a member since the beginning of MTS2 or so, but don't post often.

I must be missing something or maybe just plein stupid. Here is what I have: TS2 original and legal copy with ALL the patches and updates, and no EP. I also have the CEP downloaded from here.
Here is my problem: I have downloaded a lot of custom things from all over the simcommunity, including a lot from here. Some of it, like some specific hair and clothing (even complete Sims) don't show up in the game.

I HAVE ALL the files needed and checked if they are TS2 playable (and not some files that need an EP) They are all clear and also in the correct place (unzipped) Just to mention that I am not a beginner of TS2. Also I have the custom content checked in the option menu. Most of the other things show up, but hair is a problem. Out of 8 Custom hairs from this site made for TS2 (no EP needed), only one showed up. Hm....... This is where I get lost. Yes, I have downloaded the hairfiles and the Meshfiles from the other sites (or from here) but that don't change anything at all. I have also deleted the download document in MyDocuments/EAGames.... and opened Bodyshop to have it re-installed and nothing changed either.
I even re-installed the game three times (just in case)

So, today I gave up and ask for help, probably the only way to have that fixed or at least understand it.

Thanks folks. BTW you have a great community with wonderful Modders here. Keep it up.

Many downloads don't have the proper listing. So it's entirely possible, even if it sais no EP's needed, that they need EP's installed. If the hair comes from this site, post in the thread where you downloaded it and ask if it needs EP hair. You can also send the creator a pm.

Thanks simsample, but this I have tried. As I said before, everything that I could find on this and even other sites, that could help me out, did not resolve my problem.

If what angel f says is right then I must say that a lot of things on this site haven't been offered to download in a correct way. That is indeed a possibility, but for the community it is a shame to see, if it's true.
More than 50 % of the hair I downloaded don't work, just imagine my disappointment.
People should definitively mention when or when not the download needs an EP.
Shame, shame, shame.....
Thanks for the two that helped, much appreciated.
