I've put it in general because I am not sure how to classify it even though it is Uni related. Now there were no issues at all before FFS was installed (I think at least) and now I can't get rid of the following problem when you enter a Uni lot: - all the Sims have the required skills for the max of that field you need to fill (sorry for my English) in order to get the top grade - some Sims have that field maxed but some don't - the moment those who do have it maxed start studying/going to class/doing homework the thing shrinks back to minimum as if they have no skills at all - those that already have the totally shrunk thingie cannot get it to expand even with additional skills I have no idea what to do. Help anyone? PS I have everything installed - Uni, NL, Xmas, OFB, FFS, patched, except for the FFS but after reading the patch info (I have a terrible net connection) I saw it wasn't related to this so I skipped it. |

Could you check with cleaninstaller and see if you have any UNI hacks? You might downloaded a house with a hack and didnt realise it.I suggest taking and installing the patch also either its related to your problem or not . :-) |

No, it's not a hack issue simply because I uninstalled the game, thinking it could be a corrupt data file or something, and now it's completely clean. I also cleaned the registry before reinstalling just to be sure but the glitch occures. It is either an OFB problem, or FFS or some combination of the two in conjuction with Uni. Also I've noticed in general there's something off with the grades thing. The option of do assignment is there but not do term paper for all of them. They used to go to class on auto but now they don't any more (they're totally in the green so that's not the issue). I'll see what I can do with the patch for FFS but it takes forever for me so will let you know. Don't think that'll fix it though, the things listed there have nothing to do with this issue. |

Does it happen in all Uni dorms??? If not this one probably is glitched , you could try and move the sim to another one . |

All dorms, all lots. I thought it was that lot too at first but it isn't related to one, nor to a neighborhood. |

That's totally weird if you havent any hacks in the game.Seems like a major bug and needs to be adressed to maxis.Sorry but i can't help more |

When you reinstalled, did you put your old neighbourhoods back, or did you try it completely clean- no custom content, clean neighbourhoods? |

Corvi~ Thanks for all the help  SS ~ Completely clean, I thought it must have been something corrupt in the game so I used those friends or whatever the name in the Uni bin to try and see it. I moved them around as well, and it is still there. Considering that quite a few things seem to be off - no term paper, no auto go to class (though term paper could be missing considering the bar is at it's lowest, I am not sure what is the condition for that one), I am trying to get them through at least one semester and see what the grade turns out to be. They *should* fail, considering the bar thing is at it's lowest but we'll see. |

I'm beginning to suspect that you have a faulty disk, or at least- it is not installing correctly. What I would suggest is to uninstall and then install the base game an Uni only, to see if they work on their own. This will tell us if the Uni install is the problem, or if the other EPS/ patches are messing this install up. Make sure to remove any remaining registry entries when you uninstall, and be sure to back up your user files. http://www.modthesims2.com/article.php?t=139059 |

I'll give it a go for sure, though I am sure it worked fine, the Uni I mean before OFB for sure. I had no issues like this. Then after OFB, or FFS, this showed up. I am not totally sure, cause I didn't play the game as much as I do now right after I installed OFB. So it's got to be one of these two. Oh on a side note, I am not the only one who has this problem, a friend phoned today and asked me about exactly this. Odd. And I know it's not custom contents etc for her since she isn't even connected to the web and doesn't have any. Anyway, will give it a go and let you know, thanks a lot for all the help. Talk to you soon :D EDIT: I just found this , seems I am not the only one, I think this is the same as my problem

It's OFB that's causing it. I installed Sims 2, Uni. Then added NL and it was all fine. Patched it all. Added Xmas pack. No issues. Added OFB. And broken. Patched, no help. Added FSS and patched it, no help.

This is strange, because I have all EPs and my University features work fine. I also have the patches (at least, I think all of them- it's hard to keep track!) However, it's worth tring it with NO patches, I seem to remember a few people having strange glitches after patching, I think it was the second NL patch. |

Well RL got to me so I couldn't get back sooner. Anyway no patches make no difference at all. But, on the good news part, I heard Maxis is about to release another patch for both OFB (which interests me) and FFS so hopefully I'll have to wait around 2 weeks or so and maybe it'll be solved. Thanks for all the help! :D |
