Can somebody tell me how to fix this issue? My Sim's life want is in a different career than what I want for her and even though I gave her a job that I want her to have, she refuses to go. She's already graduated from college with honors in drama.. yet she wants to be chief of staff in the medical profession. That makes no sense to me.

I'm not really sure what you mean by "refuses to go" but sims should happily go off to whatever job you give them as long as their needs don't make them complain so much that they miss the carpool... Try cutting and pasting your Downloads folder to your desktop and trying the game again. Don't save, just test. If you're having trouble getting your sim to do something basic like get in the car and go to work and you're experiencing General Weirdness, it's often due to hack conflicts/other strangeness due to stuff you've downloaded. If she'll go fine with no custom content, exit without saving and then take a look in the Game Help FAQs under Downloads for a FAQ on how to sort through your files to find out where the problem is.

Sorry.. I didn't give a very good explanation. Ok, her aspiration meter is up to platnium and so are her needs are maxed out but when the car arrived to take her to work she just ignored it. I ex'ed out what she was doing, and even clicked on the car "go to work" and it disappeared as fast as I clicked it and she just refused. Also my folder is already on my desktop...

As for the hack conflict... that could be the issue. I constantly use the boolprop testingcheatenabled one. After she left college, I spent most of the game time building the new house in the old neighborhood.. and testing items I placed to make sure she could get to it. I didn't want her stomping and throwing a fit. But then after I went straight to the newpaper and forced a job in show business. I didn't realize anything was wrong till the helicopter arrived and she covered her ears and just stood there. I thought maybe the game just wasn't reacting well to me setting it to level 10 so I switched it back to level 1 and same thing after going back to the neighborhood and reloading several times.

Anyway, thanks for the info.. I'll go look in the FAQ's. :D
