 sims 2 install missing file error message

when i try to install the sims 2 on my computer it intalls half way. then it gives me a messsage saying that file tsdata/res/sims3D/sims13.package had probloms downloading. i click retry but the message keeps poping up even if the install bars says 100 percent it never installs at all
