I'm very new to recolouring, so I'm sure I'm overlooking something here - the question is what.

I followed Numenor's guide for recolouring with object workshop and it worked great for the blinds and bedding I've recoloured thus far.

I have a custom downloaded bed that I wanted to recolour the frame for. I followed the same process (started the object workshop, opened the package file, started the recolour, extracted the frame image, recoloured in photoshop, used build dxt to import it back to the file, committed and saved the changes). I moved the finished product into my testing folder and loaded the game - however, the recolour doesn't show up. There's only the default bedframe with this item, so the only options I see when I go to the bed in the catalogue are for the bedding (it's linked to the maxis bedding).

I thought maybe I had missed a step so I deleted the files I made and started over again, this time with the tutorial open to make sure I didn't miss a step. The result was the same.

I looked through various recolour threads and couldn't find much - it was mostly related to recolouring the bedding, what little frame information I did find didn't talk about a different process.

So is there something different I should be doing or is it perhaps just not a recolourable object?

Thanks for any help

this might be an error in the custom bed file, not allowing recolors to work.

It was a file error, I just checked the thread again to link it here and I saw that someone else mentioned it.

I figured it was something I was doing as I'm still new to this :P
