 Wants and fears

On every family i play the wants and fears continously roll without every stoping...I'm not exactly sure what to do...and I've looked everywhere else, no one else seems to be having the same problem as me...or so I see so far. Could some one please help me? |

Start by moving the Downloads folder to your desktop. If the wants/fear stop rolling then you'll know that it's a something amiss with your custom content. Also, please take a look at the following help FAQ: http://modthesims2.com/article.php?t=139718. |

I took at look at the list of fixes for all the patches and couldn't find anything about constantly rolling wants/fears. But that doens't mean that one of the patches didn't fix this issue. I think that bug was fixed in NL. I don't believe it was ever fixed in a patch. |

Well, the most obvious answer is to get NL. But seriously, I'm not sure if there is a fix other than that. If there is hopefully Simsample (or someone else with more experience with an odd problem like this) might have some ideas how to work around this issue. |

This won't be a helpful response, but I've had this happen too and it was extremely annoying to say the least. It was a loong time ago though (I believe prior to any expansion) and at the time I remember seeing other posts about it and I think there actually may have been a solution to it as well because I remember getting it to stop. But I can't tell you how I did or where I found the answer. I can tell you the answer will be found here at MTS2 before you find it anywhere else though. See! I said right up front this wouldn't helpful, but now you know you aren't alone. That may or may not be something. JLonier |

Actually JLonier, that is very helpful! I'll start searching and see if I can find the posts you're talking about. *Edit* The searches aren't cooperating, don't seem to be functioning at all right now. Will get back to searching later and let you know if I find anything useful. |

Ok, I've searched using all manner of key word combinations and just can't find the thread that JLonier was referring to. But at least we know that installing NL will fix the issue. |
