Some people make hair that is for males and females. Did you download the male or female version? |

Is it custom hair or default hair? Does it look OK on males as well? Are you sure it was for females to start with? Deleting it will delete it, but if it shows up for both gender, it will probably be deleted for both genders as well. |

Custom hair can be deleted without any problems as long as you don't have any sims using it. |

Actually, I believe the male and female hairs are seperate files so if you delete the male version the female version will still be available. |

Even if you have a sim using it, the sim will just revert to a default hair or go bald. It won't crash the game. Quote:
Depends on how the creator has packaged and enabled the hair. If it's one package file, then deleting one will delete both. | |

The Hair is showing in the Custom Hair folder but it is a thumb of the default hair and all arein the colour black. It is in both male and female areas. I was wondering, if I downloaded a mesh but forgot to download the recolours would this cause it. |

If you just doenloaded the mesh it wouldn't show up at all. If you have downloaded a recolour without a mesh, then a default hair (or sometimes a bunny head) will show up in stead. Do you know which hair it is? Who created it? Try redownloading. |

One other question on hair files. If a creator makes a set of hair but does not include all ages [e.g. teen to elder], does the game substitute a default hair for the missing age groups? Edit 19-08-06 Not medieval hair, the problem still existed. I have now deleated the hair in the incorrect area. |
