I've been practicing how to retexture, or recolor, the bedding for TS2's Ironwood Bed in the game with Numenor's very helpful and easy-to-follow tut on using SimPE.

I've made 3 beds so far that I felt were decent enough, more that I tossed when they didn't look as nice in-game as out. But I'm having an issue with the way the Single Bed's blanket comes out with an odd seam down the middle.

Could someone take a look at these and tell me what I'm doing wrong, please?
I could probably figure this out after I got some sleep to make up for staying up for hours on this, but I'm anxious to pack these up and start sharing

(edit) sorry... first time try at attaching pics, but they don't seem to be working.

Update: July 2009-I am back now to make invisible and tranparent recolors again in sims 2. You can pm me if you want your objects to be invisible and transparent from now.

Also something I find helpful, if you have a 3d modeling program available to you that will import images... I use Milkshape, importing an .obj file of a single bed, and then apply my bedspread texture to it as I work on it. Even with the templates I find it can be off by a couple pixels, and being incredibly anal about such things, a couple pixels off drives me batty.

Well, I do have DAZ 3D Studio, but I haven't used it for about a year or so. It will import .obj files but I'm not so sure it will export them in that format. Would be a heck of a lot easier though.

And I agree with the slightest flaws to whatever I do, why I toss so much out before giving in and figure if I can't fix it others may still want it

Well, you don't need it to export the .obj or do any changes to the 3d model. It's just for previewing purposes. As long as you can get it into 3D Studio in .obj (or even .smd, which SimPE will also export) format and you can apply a texture image to the bedding subset, you're all set.

Guess that my only option then, so will load it up later on and see what I can and/or can't do.

Just got done using those templates and no matter how many times I tried applying the right side of the double bed to the single bed's template area it came out a total mess. They still didn't match up

Thanks for all your help (everyone!) and lets see what happens with my next try.
