In my downloads folder, there are some .package files that are grey with green text as the display picture, and some that are simply a white piece of paper. I'm wondering if this means anything... because it seems like not all my downloads get in my game. I have several thousand so its hard to tell if specific ones dont load in. I would take a screenshot of the 2 different kinds of .package files i get, but i don't think macs can take screenshots? Is it that zip files look one way when made into .packages and rar files look another way? Or maybe i'm doing one way wrong and thats why they look like a white sheet of paper? Yeh... if you can help that would be fantasmotic :-) |

A picture would be useful- hit command (apple key), shift and 3 together to get a screen snapshot pasted to your desktop. You could also use Grab (in your Utilities folder). |

That's just the icon the mac displays for an executable file. It doesn't matter if it was a zip or rar. And it works regardless. Mine all did that after a system update once. I have since done uninstalls/installs numerous times so mine are all either the paper or the woohoo icon. |

I have the same problem. All the white files, the non executable files, won't work. Is there any program that would get them to work? Most of the files I seem to be able to download are all the non executable ones. Thanks! |

All the downloads are non executable files. If they are recolors of Maxis items you need the cep. You also need to make sure you have cc enabled in game. |

I'd strongly recommend getting one of the file-typers though from around here. There's a LAPD or something... (folks, care to help me out?) I use WooHoo, but the creator is MIA and I guess we're not allowed to pass it around. As you download more things though, the computer seems to have a tendency to get confused if the files aren't typed correctly. |

Don't know about LAPD, maybe these two: http://homepage.mac.com/petergould/DBPF/ http://www.modthesims2.com/showthread.php?t=104266 |

I have the CEP, I know it's working because I have recoloured objects in my game. But none of the white package files ever work. I've made sure that they are compatible with my game. |

Then it's probably the CC bug we found here a while ago (or related to it.) Get that DBPF and if the icons change then you're probably in good shape. If the files aren't typed properly they sometimes don't like showing up. | |
