I had this problem, and the only way to solve it for good is to get more ram, but not more than your computer can handle, be careful of this. A defrag can fix it a bit for the short term. Go into "My computer", then right click C: (or whatever other drive you have TS2 installed on), go to properties, and do a defragmentation. If you haven't done it before, it will take ages.

I'm surprised you can even start the game on a computer like that.

Wow, yeah. Sadly everything about your computer - especially the RAM is the bare minimum that might run the game at all. You probably would get overall improved gameplay if you get your RAM up to 1024.

BUT - and these are important, read carefully. It's an older system, you will need to make sure you get RAM that's compatible, and in an amount your system can handle. AND you will still have a slow cpu and older video card. That computer even with RAM is never going to be particularly happy on large lots, and won't handle the EPs.

Best recommendation:

3D games (all of them) are very demanding on computer systems. You are probably better off starting to save up and shop for sales on a new computer -- last year's model on sale is still going to have a LOT more power than this box will. If you do get a new system, make sure to get memory for it, same recommendation, if not more. You can never have too much memory, as long as the computer can use it.

"Undertake something that is difficult; it will do you good. Unless you try to do something beyond what you have already mastered, you will never grow." - Ronald E. Osborn
