Thank you for taking the time to read my plea =)

I have Pets. Please, bear with me, I know it says that it is risky to use Pets and SimPE together, but that very well may not be the problem here.

After being inspired by MaryLou and Numenor's Kickmouldings & Crowns, I decided I wanted to make a similar object for use outside, as I found myself using their object for this, instead of inside homes. I wanted to simply make a recolor of their awesome object, but I could not get transparency to work right, and I figured the only way to do it was to clone a curtain and create my own object, since I needed larger dimensions anyway.

Long story short, I get in to SimPe, choose "Ultra Funky Curtain Clothes" to clone, and then do so. I get the point where I am picking the GMDC from the resource tree, and then highlighting the GMDC from "Type", when I get the following error:

Message:

At first I clicked okay (Before getting all the details above), figuring it was just some random error, but in the plugin view, the secondary tabs under the Content Tab weren't there. Thus...I am stuck!

Please help me, I would greatly appreciate it!

(Or, if this problem is uncorrectable, I would love to co-work on this project with an excellent modder, because this object would just be the first in a collection of objects =) But perhaps I will save that for another forum!)

Thank you!

Hi Zelia,

When you go to the SimPE download site, there are two links under the hading "needed software to run SimPE". Do you have both of those installed? One of them is "Managed DirectX 9c", and not having that is often responsible for these sorts of errors.

Thank you! This seems to have helped. I did not download this before as I thought I had the most current dx version. Apparently I did not realize that this wasn't really a VERSION of Direct X. Thank you!

Now I just have to figure out what else is wrong with my object =)
