paleoanth, i used this tutorial before, but it seemed old, and i didint have everything in my SimPE program, v58, so i followed the steps and somtimes i didint have things said in the tutorial, so i followed what i had, and it ended up making my sims house lot Crash, and i had to restart the sims, and then i went to another lot and the object i were trying to make a bigger grid, didint show up, so is that an old tutorial, it was made in 2005, im sure theres been alot more versions of SimPE since then, so is there a newer tut?

I'm now accepting requests for tables and chairs, i need pictures of it from all sides if you can, PM me and I'll see if i can make it

AuraDemolisher,

The information in this tutorial is clear and easily doable for those with some basic SimPE and modding experience. Perhaps you could try it again, or post the specific problems you had in following it, as you had been told to do before, and we might be able to help you. I am concerned though that if you accidentally deleted your other post on this, which is something that is not easy to do in any case, perhaps you aren't reading and understanding the instructions that are given which will make it hard to follow any tutorial no matter how shiny, new, and full of pictures. SO please take your time in reading the instructions, and if it really is beyond you, try something less complicated first.

Also, when posting, please be sure to give a descriptive title not just "I need help". Telling us what you need help with is more likely to get you the help you need.

Good Luck.

What *specifically* did you have a problem with? Please give enough details that people can possibly help you. Without details you will certainly not get the help you keep asking for.

well, in the tut it it says, ( im starting right here becuase this is were it does not make since) This OBJD represents the tile at position 0, which is in the same location as your original objects, scan down until you find the field "Multi-Tile Lead Object". set this to the value 1.

Commit.

Make sure you still have the same OBJD record selected, (this is where i met my problem) go over to the "PACKED FILE" tab, there is no packed file tab in SimPE v58, so how can i work with it, if i cant see it? thats what i need help on.

I don't know if this will work, but..

You can create a new guid, by going into Object tools, hash generator and clicking GUID. Try getting one that way and putting it into the instance field for all instances you need. Just use the same one, if you need to.

It seems to me that at that point in Echo's Tutorial she is discussing the Instance numbers as seen in the OBJD. By poking around in SimPE I found similar information, even though the tab is named "Resource" and not "Packed File". The instance numbers are still visible as is much of the same information. What is missing is the "make all unique" button, though in this screen you can edit the instance numbers and make them unique by just making the new grid's instance number one higher than the last, keeping in mind the hexadecimal numbering. You would then click "force commit". Please take a look at the screen shots below to see what I mean a bit better.
