Since a few days ago, Every time I make my sims Woohoo in the hot tub, bed or anything, just before they get out, an error occurs that says 'Attribute number out of range, and it happens to the person who started the woohoo. As you know, there are 3 options. Cancel just makes the error come up again, reset makes them appear out of bed (with no pregnancy even though I chose the 'try for baby option', and I don't want to use delete on my sim.
When the error first came up, I hadn't downloaded any hacks or custom content that day or the day before, so I don't know why the error comes up or how to fix it!

Can someon tell me what attribute number out of range means an how to fix the error please!

Could you also test your game without custom content? This is most likely a hack conflict. You could generate an error log and attach it to your post:
http://www.modthesims2.com/showthread.php?t=198229
Also, playing with the testing cheats on will NOT cause these errors- it just allows the game to report the errors. If you did not knowingly turn on the testing cheats it could be that you have the cheat in your userstartup.cheat file:
http://www.modthesims2.com/article.php?p=1236785
Unless you require the cheats on (or are diagnosing a problem, as now) you may find it better to keep the testing cheats turned off.

The attribute number out of range is almost certainly a hacked object erroring, and IMHO the better advice would be to ask the person to keep the cheat on and post the log so that we can help them eliminate the object causing the problem

Yes, sorry Inge- that was what I meant by my post, that it was most likely a hack problem and to post the error log. The first statement, Could you also test your game without custom content, was meant to be seperate. This is the method I would have suggested to find a problem file without the error log:

I was really responding to what I read in Angel_f's post. Blanket advice to just turn off the cheat isn't the best advice in every case, and in particular where a person is a user of hacks.

Inge, i only say that because if i turn on the boolProp cheat i get *tons* of error messages. But when i turn it off, i never get them and my gameplay isn't hurt by those error messages.

The fact that the error messages are there, Angel, shows that you have hack conflicts in the game. Apart from the error we were getting after using delete all characters with Pets (solved by Pescado's patch) I rarely get an error message, and I play with the testing cheats on constantly. I also have a lot of hacks and custom content. Continuous errors aren't normal, the fact that the game continues shows that they are occurring but the game is still able to run. It is what you get an error which is causing a continuous loop that the game stops altogether.

I even get them with a clean folder. My nannies are really bad. Every second they give an error. Even in a clean game. That's why i *always* tell people not to use boolProp all the time. It's getting worse (in my game) when i use boolProp. When i first start playing with it, it's not too bad. but the longer i play, the more error messages i get. I don't have many hacks and they are all up to date. They are compatible with each other, so that's not the reason i get those messages.

Well, the reason can only really be ascertained by analysing the error log, not by counting how many hacks you have

It's not only compatibility issues that cause errors, the hack creator could simply have made an error in his coding. Ideally those people with their debug cheat on should read the log and let the creator know so it can be fixed. Attribute number out of range looks to me like an error in the creation of a hack not a compatibility issue. You only need one hack to get that, if your one hack is faulty.

For the nannies, are you using any items in your lot that have been put in the sims' inventories? I have noticed that with certain objects, such as beds, the inventory tends to bork them so that the error logs you get show that all sims are simultaneously checking to see if anyone is bouncing on the beds! The nannies are particularly sensitive to this as they check for beds that need to be made as part of their 'tidy up' routine as soon as they enter the lot. I also have found errors with certain custom items, such as TVs, and the nannies- they error when they try to watch them (apparently the check for 'Is TV on' fails).

Okay, i only told it because i (still) think it's a bad thing to play with that cheat always turned on. But in that case, it's probably a good idea.

Thanks, that explains a *lot* of my errors.
