I have OFB and when i click on a family lot the sims are frozen solid no diamonds over their heads or anything,, but the game itself runs fine no problems there.. I mean i can rotate the camera and everything just the sims are frozen..

I have tried fixing the problem with the hack conflict program and the duplicate program.. I have even deleted my sims folder and restarted the game and replaced everything.. i have deleted my lastest downloads in my download folder .. Just about everything i can think of other than just reinstalling the sims...

I have just bought an ATI X1300 graphics card so my sims game runs as smooth as a babies behind so its not that either..

At my wits end any help would be appreciated !!!

Don't know if this helps but I had a similar problem in Pets. Found out it was some careers (like bakery and couple of others) which caused the problem. I just removed the downloads/careers folder, and then moved some of them back to see which ones caused the trouble.

Btw it looked like I had to remove all custom careers "manually" as Clean Installer didn't do the trick. I dont know was it about folders or something but as soon as I did so the game started to work.

I got it fixed,, seems i had two careers that didnt like me.. I deleted them and that worked, still kinda slow and jittery though..

Also i found out that i had about 3gigs of downloads,, around 7000 files... lol
So i made 7 folders called them Sub1 - Sub7 and just added about 1000 files per each.. Defraged and now it works ok i guess, probably cause its slightly confused about the folder thing.. lol
