ok i simply want to know how to get at an object in-game that isnt in the buy-mode catalog (or build)

im new to this as i am attempting to commit to the sites new years resolution (no request forum).

i should probably be more specific:
i wish to make this object buyable from the catalog
i know how to find it ingame but i dont know how to make it a buyable object
i also have no idea what program i should be using

i need a lot of help!

can you be more specific? What object exactly?

ok after inputting the cheat boolprop testingCheatsEnabled true
you can hold down shift and click for a debug menu
one choice when clicking on a sim is 'spawn'
one of these options is the sim modder
this is the object i wish to make buyable and then possiably make its appearance changabe (it has several functions such as the ability to change a sims skills e.g. cooking)

also can i do this myself rather than have someone do it for me and then put it up as i would like to learn how to do this!

Well you should read the tutorials on objects creation and go read up on stuff in the Modding Info Center.

You should go over to insimenator or maty, though, cuz I'm pretty sure it's already there in some form.
