My husband and I see a many Maxis objects that are not in game. Is there a way we can get them from SimPE so we can use them in the game? I know there is suppose to be a cheat too but we can't figure it out.

Help is greatly appreciated

If you mean hidden objects and such (like those Numenor unlocked) there are no cheats to get those. you have to manually search the object folders for the game/EP, find the seperate parts, sometimes (more oftne than not) create missing parts and assemble a package file to unlock them.

Actually most of the ingame objects which aren't available in the buy catalog can be made available through collection files, here's a link to 229 ingame (accessory)objects which I made available through collection files some time ago:
http://modthesims2.com/member/showthread.php?t=131127

Maxis also made some of the socalled clutter objects available through a cheat, I believe that you'll need to have OFB installed in order to use it:
  1. Enter the cheat boolprop testingcheatsenabled true
  2. Hold down the shift key while clicking on a sim.
  3. Select Spawn/More/Accessory Cheat
  4. Unpause the game if it is paused, you should now get a colorful box - Click on it.
  5. You should now be able to spawn all accessory objects or only categorized accessory objects

Most of the ingame objects can be made available through collection files like I did with the 229 objects, here's how you can do it:
  1. Start up Object Workshop from within SimPE
  2. Select Unknown from the list, you should now see a long list where some have thumbnails & some don't.
(some will work in the game & some won't, some will even crash your game if cloned - So don't test too many at a time or it will be difficult to locate the faulty ones)
  3. Once you found an object you want to test for compatibility, then clone it & save it to a temporary filename.
  4. Select the Object Data(OBJD) & Select an Overall Sort in the Catalog Sort tab, it doesn't matter which one you choose, since we'll only use this as a temporay entry in the buy catalog!
(Don't change anything else - it isn't necessary)
  5. Clone some more if you feel like testing more than one at a time!
  6. When you're ready to test the objects then move them to your Downloads folder if they aren't there already & start up the game!
  7. If all is well & the game doesn't crash then test the objects in the game, find them in the category you chose in step 4!
  8. Add the objects you find suitable & working into a collection file & exit the game!
  9. Delete the cloned objects from your Downloads folder, you'll still be able to access them through the collection files because they're already in the game!
There might be other ways to do this, but I know this works - Hope you find this useful :D

Life's a game, so let's play!

Aw That link wasn't exactly like what I expected. My husband and I saw masks, a ship in a glass case and a bunch of other objects thats not in game. That stuff is mainly lil objects you see them use. However, that link will be useful if we plan on making our own stuff.

I think I will be brave and see if I can follow your instructions above and clone them. I have such an aweful time with this new SimPE though.
