My friend and I just installed the new EP Sims2 Seasons. We cannot find the wishing well as described in the game, previews and on the package. It talked about using the backyard wishing well but It's no where to be found in the game after installation. Can someone tell me where I can find it please.

HI, I was helped with this over at InSIMenator.net so I will pass it along to you.You cannot buy the wishing well (at least not until some talented modder makes it available to buy) You have to call the gardening club to become a member. Once they accept you into the club, they will give you the wishing well as a gift. It will then appear on your lot. Let me give you a piece of advice though, If your simmie is married and you wish for romance, it won't be with the spouse. A simmie falls out of the sky and it causes a heap of trouble for the marriage. lol Good Luck, TickleYu (Teresa)

I have called and called the garden club, I only get one elderly women that just hangs around inside my house, she doesn't look at anything. I have healthy beautiful garden, trees etc and she could care less....I did inherit 2 adopted kids somehow though when calling the garden club? never figured that out...Anyway, I have worked hard to keep my yard etc in excellent upkeep only to not find any wishing well in my future even with 3 gardening badges. Just the elderly representative that hangs out doing nothing. Who said that getting the wishing well was easy.......Not in my game Where's the well in the cheat!....tried that and no wishing well that way either...been trying now for 2 solid days both ways.. |

I am sorry, I should have explained it better. It doesn't state in the threads, about once the representative gets to your house, she will not automatically just inspect your garden. You have to click on her and then you will get a dialog box with the choice to become a member. At that time, about 3 to 5 people show up at your house and start inspecting your trees and/or garden. After you get your results, if your garden/trees are in good shape, then you are welcomed into the gardening club and they will tell you as a gift you receive the wishing well. Mine showed up in the middle of my orchid. It isn't hard to miss it once it is put on your lot. I hope this helps just a bit more Good Luck, TickleYu *Teresa*

I tried clicking the representative and the dialog box does not give an option to ask to be a member....is there something totally wrong with my seasons game or what? The rep has been there so much that we are 100% friend status. Sorry for being a pain but I can't figure out whats going on. |

I think that Angel is right, it sounds like something wacky is happening to your game and it probably caused by a hack of some sort. I take my hacks out (infact all of my download folders) when installing a new expansion pack. and slowly put them back in. I still find conflicts, not right away at first glance but when playing out a situation. It happens. Although I had trouble with the fishing pond, not being able to fish. I located the hack responsible and had to re-remove it for good. I also had an issue about not being able to select plan everyday outfit and not being able to purchase outerwear at a community lot, but think I have pinpointed the conflicting hack with that. I am lucky that I have a lot of different folders so It is easier to find a trouble file when I need to. I learned the hard way that just putting every downloaded file into your downloads folder makes for a big mess over time and almost impossible to locate a trouble file. I now have categories upon sub categories and so on. To delete the babies that are on the floor you can use the cheat code moveobjects on then put your curser on the babies and hit your delete key. Maybe that will work for that issue. I really have no other suggestions, other then what Angel F and HystericalParoxysm have already given links to the discussions on gardening issues and tips as well as Season expansion pack issues discussions. I do hope you get this straightened out. TickleYu

I did have hacks and game mods but they were removed, I haven't reinstalled them into the downloads folder as of yet. as far as using move objects on and deleting the babies...they come back floating in mid air. I sure would like them gone! No sim can touch, feed, or do anything with one of them. |

Did you look through your Dl folder with the cleaninstaller to make sure you rounded up all the hacks? CI doesn't list 'all' hacks, but it can sort the files to make detection easier. When you ran through this tutorial http://www.modthesims2.com/article.php?t=139718 (required before posting) How did the game do with the clean Sims2 folder? Did that not solve the problem? |

don't think i missed anything but will run the CI again... Although i don't believe this will help get rid of the kids froze to the floor. But maybe it could solve the problem with not getting the representative to call in the garden club. Will try again....thank you and I be back....and i have read the threads also...many of them at this point and still reading. Your help is appreciated. |

i'm back...all hacks removed i went into my game and played....the social worker took one child...the other was floating above the sidewalk by the mailbox?...Interaction with the garden club rep still did not give me a dialog box to ask to become a member of the club. I lost ability to compost newspaper and garbage and plants, I then went out of my game, reinstalled my few hacks and now i got back the compost ability, nothing else changed...still have one floating child and no garden club membership. Not sure what to do now except wipe out everything which is what i really don't want to do unless absolutely necessary. I have followed directions from threads, nothing seems to correct this part of my game. Do I just give up on the well and garden club? What else is likely around the corner, Now what? |

I am having a problem with not receving the wishing well. I have been inspected twice so far by the garden club. The first time I got a "pretyt good" score where I got around 700 simoleons, and the second time I got a little over 1000 simoleons. Am I just not scoring high enough or what? Still no wishing well has shown up. |

You have to be accepted into the club. I think the 3 times I've done it the dialog was something like: I can't believe you're not a member! Here's 2500 simoleons ( somewhere around that figure) and here's an extra gift..use it wisely. I'm paraphrasing. |

Hi, still having a problem even after reinstalling the game. Wiped out everything, reinstalled...No downloads folder no hacks, no custom content.. and the sim (any) cannot get the dialog box to be a member of the garden club. Also cannot even get into the downtown. Have to end task because the hour glass just spins. I can however get into bluewater village. I can't package my lots like i use to either. I don't get it....i don't get any error messages. I have done everything possible to get this seasons pack to work properly and it doesn't. Now I'm going out to get the Pets patch to see if it will help but I doubt it. Someone please help me. No fun when I can't do anything but stay in my lot. This is depressing! |

I assume you did a complete uninstall..editing the registry? http://www.modthesims2.com/article.php?t=139059 I also assume you went through all the steps required before posting, in this article that you agreed to? Maybe not, as you have not patched the games: http://www.modthesims2.com/article.php?t=139718 The complete uninstall is linked on the last page of the article. I guess I shouldn't assume anything anymore? |

Canoodle, Excuse me but you sound alittle rude...assume?...I did all the steps required and yes that I agreed too and I did do the patches! just didn't do the pets one is all. I wasn't sure because of postings that it was bug free. I have done the pets patch since. I did do a complete uninstall and with the registry too. In fact I printed the directions for alot of the threads for reference as I did so. So if its too much to ask and post here I will NOT bother anyone or you again. Sorry for wasteing your time asking for help. |

I would suggest starting a complete new neighborhood (then add a downtown , a shop district and whatever else to test) and a new test family . You said you removed all your downloads but attemtping to play the saved families? That might be a problem for sure . Unless you didn't keep your saved families. As for the garden club when you click on the lady on top there is a "more" pie menu and there is where the option to inspect garden is . I'm sorry i hope these suggestions work , don't get frustrated , it will work out in the end hopefully. |

I was having the same problems with infants and ready to kill off all my Sims, there is an issue known bug with the babies that Maxis is working on. I was getting awful tired of having to delete my babies and then rush someone out to the mailbox to get them again. But I got the mod don't drop tired babies and they seem to be taking good care of them now just as before. I am also getting nothing but romance wants but I think I figured that out as well. There is a love potion you can make from the juicer and I've been making my Sims drink it all the time! hehehe I never realized the juices they make caused different reaction like curing colds, badge points, getting over anger, etc... |

Good idea, but, they stated that they went through the 'my game doesn't work' thread, so therefor, they have tested the game with a clean Sims2 folder. No saved families, neighborhoods..nothing. But, it's worth a shot anyway. Thanks for chiming in Corvidophile. And to the OP, I'm sorry if I came off as rude. It was not my intention.

You can't just score 700 to 1,000 you have to also have the things they look for to judge. You can have 100 trees that are all healthy and get a great score and membership but your not getting the well unless you have at least something in 5 of the 7 categories they judge on and the amount. For instance lets say you have a potted plant and three trees, a couple shrubs and flowers, you don't meet the requirements for the well, but you do for a membership. You have to have 8 potted plants and three orchard trees and maybe one other tree. Plus something from three other categories they judge on. Ok now Let's say I have 3 vegetables plots growing, three orchard trees, one tree, 6 plots of flowers in my flower bed, a couple shrubs, a fountain and a statue. I am getting the well. Even if some of my stuff is sickly because I have more than is required plus I earned extra points with my statue and fountain to make up for the sickly plants. You have to have the set amount for each category and have something in almost all the categories. There are seven categories they judge on and you have to have something from minimum of 5 of them. You get extra points for certain other things as well like fountains, statues, compost bin, weather gauge, etc..those take over if you have sickly plants, untended, overwatered, bugs, etc..to bring your score up so you can get the well. But regardless of all that blah, blah I said above lol you have to still have something from 5 of the 7 categories during their inspection listed below to qualify for the well. Garden plots Garden Plants Orchard Trees Flower Bed Shrubs Trees Minimum of 8 Potted Plants |

Same thing happened with me on my first inspection... But I guess I'm lucky for the fact I already had a swanky ass looking garden prior to Seasons. Is it only the lady that comes to your house? The Garden Club (GC) inspection involves a bunch of people from the GC coming over to the house as well. Sorry I can't help you on your weird game glitch, but I can add on to specific advice for being accepted to the GC. On top of planting lots of flower beds and maintaining healthy, watered plants, the main thing is to use A LOT of water & decorative items throughout your yard. Also make sure you mop up all puddles upon inspection (from the rain or your pet peeing outside) and fertilize your planting soil.

well i had only 23 plants in a greenhouse with a freshly moved plantsim, i planted 23 eggplants, they were all in best condition when i called for the garden club. there were no decorations or trees/flowers/shrubs on the lot just 2 of the 2000$ lights hanging in the greenhouse. i scored 1100 points and got the well. so i think that only the score matters and not the things you mention. |
