My groundcover and water look really funky and blocky, covers streets, etc.

And, before you ask, I tried running it without hacks/mods/etc.

My system specs:

Intel Core 2 Duo 2GHz
1GB DDR2-667 RAM
Intel GMA 950 Graphics
Windows XP Professional SP2

I would definitely say it's your graphics card. Your 950 graphics accelerator is about as plain as they get. I would upgrade to a radeon or nvidia. I have a 256MB Nvidia card that is amazing.

Also, you have pretty good processing speed and ram, so in the neighborhood view you can go to options (the three dots ...) and then the display settings (computer screen) and mess around with those options which should help a little.

My best bet is upgrading you graphics however. Hope this helps!
