 PM Inbox purge - Complete

Hi All, I will be performing a clearing out of the PM (private messaging) system here on MTS2, which includes removing all PMs sent and recieved that are older than 6 months. At that point I will also be recalculating PM totals. It is advised that if you want to keep old PMs, you archive them using the dropdown at the bottom of the Private Messaging screen. Also of note: There are, at the time of writing this, 1,072,167 PMs in the database here at MTS2. [b]544,297[b] (that's basically HALF) are unread. Don't you people read your PMs? :D I will be doing the purge on Wednesday 22nd August. If you haven't archived your PMs at that point they will be removed. Regards Delphy |

I have the humongous total of one PM (the one I got to start with), but it is still good that we get warned about routine maintenance - and that the staff here are dutiful and enthusiastic enough to organise it. |

oh thank you thank you for letting me know, i always read my messages so i can just delete them, but how wonderful and so special that we have this advanced warning, its so wonderful and special and i am truly grateful. i guess i just would hit a little button somewhere that says delete, is that how it works? this is so just very very special. |

Thanks for telling us.  Mine says that I have 1 unread message but I have non in the inbox and one read for a total of 2 messages in my inbox. That unread one I have had it sinse I joined, never found it o.O I hope that with this clean up it goes away and I can finally see a 0 in my unread messages.
