Hey,
I've played all the sims 2 games and expansions on my computer, but I want to install my game onto an external hard drive to save disk space. However, when I install the game and expansion packs onto my computer I get this error 'Please eject and re-insert The Sims 2 Open For Business disk, select OK and restart the application.' I have ejected and re-inserted the disk numerous times, but nothing has happened.
Any suggestions?
Thanks

Is the error happening when you try to install, or afterwards when you try to load the game?

The article that JLonier suggested is only to move your My Documents folder, not where your game is installed, but thanks anyway!

I've tried cleaning the disk, but it still won't work. I can install the game, I just can't play it.

Do you have any disk emulation software? Nero, alcohol etc. That may be preventing the playing of the disk. Just a thought.

I'm worried that my latest Salvation Army donation will result in homeless people looking like sluts from the 90s.

Are you definitely using the latest disk you have? Your profile says you have Pets installed, but it's asking for the OfB disk, are you maybe using the wrong shortcut?

Yeah, i got a new computer so i had to reinstall all my games. However, i bought a new external hard drive yesterday and now it works. Turns out it was just an external hard drive issue! Thanks for all your help!
